Review summary

My boyfriend and I went on our first cruise with RC's Oasis and although we were originally skeptical about the experience we would have, it only took less than an hour to know we would love it. The ship is highly impressive and the service even better. Staff treat cruisers like royalty despite how unappreciative some guests may be. The food is amazing and there are plenty of options to choose from onboard. Giovanni's table is highly recommended! There are 21 pools/hot tubs, multiple bars offering different genres of music, dancing, a theater, comedy club, casino, shops, ice skating rink, rock climbing walls...the list goes on! If you didn't want to leave the ship, you wouldn't be bored. RC helps you find excursions at ports if you are feeling adventurous and they guarantee returning you to the ship on-time. Overall, we were positively overwhelmed by the ship and had a fantastic time! We believe we will now be cruisers for life and plan on staying with Royal Caribbean.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Giovanni's table is an excellent specialty dining experience worth the extra money. The Windjammer has many fantastic options in a buffet style atmosphere. The dining halls serve gourmet food included in fare. You can't go wrong with dining on this ship! The drink package is worth it if you'd like to have frozen cocktails by the pools throughout the day and drinks with dinner.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So much to do for young or old! There really is something for everyone onboard.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
So much to do! You'll never be bored. The Comedy Show is hilarious and there are many other shows and even movies to choose from if you prefer to be "indoors."

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
There seemed to be activities and play areas for every age group on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff are friendly and helpful. Some may be shy but all are hard workers and aim to please. They deserve more in tips than just the daily gratuities charged to the cruiser.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
HUMONGOUS ship that can be confusing to navigate at first but you quickly get your bearings and can find your way around. Ship is very clean as the staff are always working to keep it safe and clean. Storeroom attendants are also very helpful and tidy up your room daily, if not more (unless you indicate you don't want them to).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was bigger than expected and the balcony allowed us a space to be alone while viewing the grand ocean below. This was a great spot to take pics of ports and sunsets.

Ship tip

Book shore excursions before the trip as they fill up quickly the week or two prior. You can always switch excursions once you get on the ship if another excursion is available that you are interested in. Use onboard credits to purchase a drink package if you plan on having multiple drinks per day.

We did the Catamaran and Snorkel excursion and had a great time. Make sure to shop around at the port, also, as there seems to be many good deals around.

Do an excursion, any excursion here! The water is beautiful and food is fantastic! Many options for excursions available at this port.
