Review summary

It was a great cruise with plenty if not too much to do.  Royal always does a great job even though we are noticing plenty of cut backs and drink packages continue to go up.  Unless you are exorbitant drinkers, or have a small group it's not worth it.

All of the ship events and shows were great!!!  Loved the comedians on board, the headliners and the aqua show.

As for the destinations, the only one we really liked was Cozumel.  We felt safe and had alot of fun.  Labadee is safe and run by the  ships staff, but the beach isn't very nice unless you are in the private Suite beach.  We didn't go on the bay side so can't comment on that.  The did have plenty to do for a fee.  Our family did the zip line, parasailing and jet ski tour and would recommend every one of them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food portions and quality has declined with each trip we've taken in the last three cruises. It's ok but nothing exceptional. The windjammer was actually better than the dining room food this time around.

Onboard Activities

kids loved the Flow rider and we loved all the evening street dance parties.

Service and Staff

I would like to recognize Juliet and Ioana in the Silk Dining room, Cynthia in the room staff and the two young gentlemen who gave our family our flowrider class the first nite on the ship They were all exceptional. Our cruise director was the bomb! I have never seen anyone with so much energy and so much fun.

Great room with great view and not noisy.

Ship tip

Skip Dunns River FAlls Montego bay beach break tour. It's a 7 hr tour. 1 hr at falls, 40 minutes to have a meal and use the beach and the rest of the time is riding on the bus. Complete waste of day. Would definitely do the falls. Keep kids in sight everyone tries to sell them drugs.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

All the paid excursions are good, but the beach is nothing to write home about unless you get to go on the beach for the Suite guests. Service was good at all the things we did and the lunch was very good.

Dunns river falls worth it but so far away that you spend a total of 3 hrs round trip Montego Bay portion of excursion was a joke. Everyone trying to sell drugs to my older kids. Terrible experience and wasted an entire day.

Cozumel, Mexico

Had a wonderful morning doing the Fury Catamaran and snorkeling tour. People were great and very service oriented. Our family of 4 grown 19-25 yr kids loved it. Most reasonable and best excursion we took on entire cruise.
