Review summary

The boat was nice enough and food was good, but the experience was not exceptional. We traveled with young children and while the staff was nice to kids, the activities for kids were very poor. Overall, the cruise was okay...maybe even good, but not great.

Food and Dining

The main dining room was hit and miss, though most of the time the food was good. The buffet was a bit disappointing, but better than some other ships I have cruised on.

Onboard Activities

Kids pool closed way too early. Basketball, golf, and ping pong materials were put away way too early, so I never had a chance to use them after the kids went to bed.

Entertainment

Entertainment was okay, though could have been better. Music felt dated. Would have loved to have the movies play earlier in the theater so we could go with our kids (10:30 pm animated movies make little sense to me without an earlier showing)

Children's Programs

Kids pool closed way too early. The kids area was really disappointing. Would love to have a playground or something. Also, wished there was a place we could play with our toddlers without having to just drop them off. Our toddler was never comfortable just being dropped off, but would have been fine if there was time that we could have been there with him to get used to it. Honestly, felt like a creepy daycare from the 90s. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Service and Staff

There were two great waiters we had and two that were okay. The ones that were great helped speed things up so our kids could last through the dinner. Our room steward was kind and knew our names, but since we had kids sleeping, our room was rarely made up and we didn't received the next day's activities a couple of times.

Ship Quality

Design was good. Not as much to do as some of the newer ships, but all things considered, I was happy. Common areas were clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

With a pack and play and the pull out bed, the room became very small and hard to manage. Otherwise, the cabin was clean and in good repair.
