Review summary
The cruise was excellent. We did not expect the level of service we received and we had low expectations for the food based on other reviews. Those reviewers must be eating at the buffet for every meal. The buffet was just ok, but that's how it is on every ship. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good in the main dining rooms. We never had to wait for a table and the service was great. The last night of the cruise we had an excellent prime rib dinner in the main dining room. The only specialty restaurant we ate at was the Brazilian Steakhouse. This was outstanding and a great value for the price! We only attended one evening show. This was called World Beat. The music and talent within the show was great. We also attended several other activities each day such as art auctions, trivia games, casino tournaments, and other games put on by the staff. We had a blast and never had trouble finding anything to do. The bars never had a line unless you went to the one right where you entered the ship in the atrium. Even there, the service was speedy. The drinks were well made. Our favorite bar was "Champs" on the 12th deck. The staff there is always entertaining. I've been on over 20 cruises and didn't have high expectations going onto this one. I am happy to say that they far exceeded all of my expectations and made this trip a wonderful experience for us.Embarkation

Ship tip
If you prefer ships with lots of kids amenities (water slides, movie screens, etc), look elsewhere. This ship was perfect for us as a couple with no kids.
