Review summary
Alaska is... Alaska!
A lot of your experience depends on the weather and this is not handled by the Cruise Line: in Alaska can change every day or even during some few hours. The ship is a medium size, that is good to become familiar with the many places around the ship in a short time, or not get inmerse in long lines at the different activities or going in and out of the boat.
The Sun is a nice boat, but not a new one, the crew is very friendly and well trained, the food is good and abundant even if you never go to the specialties restaurants that by the way has a cover charge. I think that is a ship oriented to adults nevertheless it has a unformal ambient. Feeling free around the boat is a must, and it is noticed whit no seating assigned for the meals, no special nights wearing formal dress, for example.
They, as all the cruise lines, are becoming a little pusher selling you food packages at the specialties fine restaurants, beverages, art pieces, dutty free items, jewlery, off shore excursions, internet and... specially: photos for every single day!
I recommend the NCL SUN to cruise Alaska for adult peolple that want to be relaxed, have some fun without been inmerse in a too loaded parties program
Sorry for my gramatic... I'm not a english speaker
