Review summary

I was very pleased with everything about the ship. The staff was amazing. Always smiling ans accommodating. I especially prefer a ship that has fewer passengers than the new, mega ships. This ship accommodates approx. 1960 passengers, which is more than enough. It feels cozier and friendlier than the big ships.

The room was larger than I expected - a plus. Bathroom was laid out well and roomy enough (for a cruise ship!). Very clean.

Ports of call

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

Not wanting to see Berlin, we were actually very impressed with the city's sites. They are trying to "apologize" for the Holocaust and remember those that were murdered in a positive way. Only negative is docking at Warnemunde. It's a 2 1/2 hr drive into Berlin. But we still has plenty of time t see the main sites.

Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden

Loved the Hermitage and Catherine's Palace. Saw Peterhof Gardens. Should have seen the inside of Peterhof's Palace too.

Pros: The staff is wonderful; the rooms are larger than on other ships

Cons: Not as much to do on sea days as other newer and larger ships; the shows could have been better
