When we arrived at the ship, the cabin had a heavy noise created from the cooler. We ask for help but the answer was: we are sorry, but we can´t do anything, the ship is full. We were looking for 4 days someone to help us, but not even the Hotel Director on board, Mr Yannis couldn´t help us. The worse was the answer on the first day when I demanded somo help, a crew member from Nicaragua that was on the front desk told me: you are still on time to desembark the ship if you want!!!

I had a wonderful time on this ship, but I am a seasoned cruiser with about a dozen sailings under my belt, so I can only give it 3 stars, all areas considered (deck plan, maintenance, dining, crew/service, activities). Keep that in mind as you read my review; I may be a little more critical than most because I have a large basis for comparison. For the overall value, I had a very good experience. For the price of the cabins, you really can't go wrong -- prices dropped to a base price of $400 per interior cabin a few weeks before the 9 day cruise set sail. That's unbeatable. I booked long before that, so wasn't quite able to capture that deal, but if you're able to book fairly last-minute, you can't beat the price. I'm not a fan of the \"Freestyle\" dining concept. I dont like much structure in my day when Im cruising, but I do like to have a consistent meal period to which I am assigned and do not have to wait in line. I like being able to sit with other guests and meet people. I was sailing by myself, so it was a disappointment to be seated at a table for two by myself every time. I will probably not sail with Norwegian again based on this.

Ship was very similar to jade we sailed on 2 years ago, so we were not unfamiliar with the layout and services.

The layout of the ship was excellent if confusing at times. The crew were friendly and did a wonderful job. The food was good and plentiful with a wide choice of places to eat. The organisation throughout, especially on arrival and embarkation, was impeccable. The entertainment was highly professional and enjoyed by all.

The Norwegian Star was better than we had expected!

The Star made a good impression, but not the excellent impression as I have had on other cruise ships. The ship's excursions are pricey. Thank goodness, we did good in shopping for outside tours in our pre-cruise planning. They are both cheaper and tour group sizes are small. And with a embarkment from Copenhagen you sure want to ship around for your pre-cruise and post-cruise planning in Copenhagen for it is extremely expensive. Leaving the ship for a port excursion needs to be better organized for safety and efficiency, because everyone wants to begin their excursion tour time as early as possible. The deadlines to be back on the ship always seem to be too early. The embarkation from the Copenhagen Freeport pier seems remote. If you plan to take the train to Nordhavn station to get there, beware that you will need to lug your baggage about 0.6 miles to the ship. A free shuttle offering would have been great touch.

NCL Star was clean and \"ship shape\". There were times that there was very limited available seating for breakfast. Food choices were adequate for breakfast/lunch but had a better experience on the NCL Pearl.

Excellent cruise. Right length, good facilities on the ship, excellent service and excellent itinerary.

We had been looking forward to visiting the Mayan Ruins for many years now and were finally able to see them on this cruise. As many folks know, there are Mayan Ruins everywhere in Mexico and South America and we went to Chaccoben in Costa Maya. Very intriguing and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. But in addition to the Mayan Ruins, the best part of the trip was the cave tubing and ziplining in Belize. You MUST try this--it was totally AWESOME! We then enjoyed the beaches in Roatan Bay and Cozumel for some down and cooling time!!! I hope you ENJOY this trip as much as we did.

Well maintained - personable staff - informed staff - good evening shows - plenty of warning for adult oriented material.

The staff onboard the NCL Star was extremely efficient in taking care of our needs. The dining room servers were super even though the food was rather bland and monotonous. The breakfast at the Market Cafe was our favorite meal. We tried a couple of the speciality restaurants but found them not worth the extra money. The itinerary was excellent. All of the ports we visited were interesting and easy to navigate. Roatan was our favorite! Thank goodness we spent most of our time outside the stateroom. Our room was clean but very cramped! All in all I would recommend this cruise to others.

The ship has been refurbished. Yes, you will see some wear and tear, but overall, it's in good shape. They were replacing all of the televisions with flat screens in the cabins.

WE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A 7 DAY CRUISE TO THE WESTERN CARRIBEAN ON THE STAR.THIS WAS OUR SECOND CRUISE WITH NCL. THE FIRST WAS A 7 DAY ALASKAN CRUISE. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. OUR CABIN STEWARD, SANTIAGO, WAS ESPECIALLY KIND AND ATTENTIVE. WE WERE GIVEN NUMEROUS OPTIONS FOR DAILY ACTIVITIES ONBOARD. WE WATCHED AN EXCELLENT SHOW EACH EVENING IN THE STARDUST THEATER AND ENJOYED THE MUSIC FROM THE BAND AT THE SPINNAKER LOUNGE.I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE QUALITY AND APPEAL OF THE FOOD. IT LOOKED AND TASTED GREAT. THERE WERE SEVERAL RESTAURANTS WHICH REQUIRED AN EXTRA COVER CHARGE, BUT THERE WERE MANY OTHER COMPLIMENTARY ONES TO CHOOSE FROM. WE BOOKED A COUPLE OF SHORE EXCURIONS IN BELISE CITY AND COZUMEL, WHICH WE CONSIDERED A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY WE PAID. THE SHIP WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE HAND SANITIZER ALL AROUND THE SHIP, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ENTERED AND EXITED THE EATING AREAS. A STAFF MEMBER EVEN STOOD AT THE DOOR WITH A SPRAY BOTTLE TO ASSURE THAT NO ONE FORGOT. \"WASHY, WASHY\" STILL ECHOS IN MY EAR. I LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEXT CRUISE WITH NCL.
