The overall impression of the ship is dismal - see specific comments below.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food had little variety\, was only of average quality and there were insufficient facilities that required up to an hour wait for dinner every evening in the main dining room.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The customer service and the food reservation people constantly gave out inaccurate contradictory information that often resulted in expense to the passengers.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The rugs in the main lobby were held together with tape\, the fountains didn't work properly\, and the dirty faded plastic plants everywhere gave the ship and old tired rundown appearance.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The mini-suite was very nice but the toilets smelled all of the time and actually ran me out of the room on two occasions.

Pros: The ports of call

Cons: The food service

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.
