The ship has been refurbished. Yes, you will see some wear and tear, but overall, it's in good shape. They were replacing all of the televisions with flat screens in the cabins.

WE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A 7 DAY CRUISE TO THE WESTERN CARRIBEAN ON THE STAR.THIS WAS OUR SECOND CRUISE WITH NCL. THE FIRST WAS A 7 DAY ALASKAN CRUISE. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. OUR CABIN STEWARD, SANTIAGO, WAS ESPECIALLY KIND AND ATTENTIVE. WE WERE GIVEN NUMEROUS OPTIONS FOR DAILY ACTIVITIES ONBOARD. WE WATCHED AN EXCELLENT SHOW EACH EVENING IN THE STARDUST THEATER AND ENJOYED THE MUSIC FROM THE BAND AT THE SPINNAKER LOUNGE.I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE QUALITY AND APPEAL OF THE FOOD. IT LOOKED AND TASTED GREAT. THERE WERE SEVERAL RESTAURANTS WHICH REQUIRED AN EXTRA COVER CHARGE, BUT THERE WERE MANY OTHER COMPLIMENTARY ONES TO CHOOSE FROM. WE BOOKED A COUPLE OF SHORE EXCURIONS IN BELISE CITY AND COZUMEL, WHICH WE CONSIDERED A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY WE PAID. THE SHIP WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE HAND SANITIZER ALL AROUND THE SHIP, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ENTERED AND EXITED THE EATING AREAS. A STAFF MEMBER EVEN STOOD AT THE DOOR WITH A SPRAY BOTTLE TO ASSURE THAT NO ONE FORGOT. \"WASHY, WASHY\" STILL ECHOS IN MY EAR. I LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEXT CRUISE WITH NCL.

awesome excursions! You MUST zip line in Roatan and do the ATV excursion in Cozumel! Book them through tho!!!

Ship isn't configured quite as well as the Sun, or other Holland ships. Crew very friendly and attentive. Food was good in dining room and buffet. Not as many selections in the dining room as I would have liked.

Second time on the star. Was disappointed this year as there was no variety in the food, never saw a BBQ day as in the past, buffet food same everyday and staff not as happy as previous year

Highly recommend this ship,.,Have been on 30+ cruises and by far this was the best...Going back on this same ship this summer...Packing soon! 62 days and counting!

If I had known it was the Northern part of the countries Spring Break I would have booked other dates!! Other than that the cruise was Wonderful!!

Overall, my impressions of the ship are great...somewhat exceed my expectations.

This trip was our first cruise. I would rate it as to be expected or ok. I didn't find anything spectacular nor anything to write home about. We travel on business 2-3 times a month and take 3 extended vacations a year. I do not think I will add NCL to the list.

The food was okay in the dining rooms, but I never really looked forward to having dinner as compared to other cruises. Breakfast in Market Cafe was the best meal. Also, our stateroom attendant was excellent and did a great job daily and was very friendly. However, there was some long term dirt that would be nice to have cleaned. I know turn around is an issue, but these areas could be addressed. For example, the tissue box cover, tops of outlet in bathroom, tops of towel rungs, soap dispenser and spots in the shower I felt needed a good scrubbing. Lastly, the toilet seat looked very beat up, it should be replaced so it appears much more clean. When we first entered the bathroom, I wiped down several areas and used a tissue to open the toilet and another to flush. Finally, the comedians were good, but we would have enjoyed more evenings of them or other stand up comedians. The final show \"Elements\" was very good and by far the best show of the entire cruise.

The ships stabilizers were messed up. It was my first ever cruise and was not great. I will Not Cruise Norwegian again. No attempt at consolation was made when I expressed concern after the cruise.

The Star was very quiet and clean. There were enough staffers to keep everything running efficiently, and staff were incredibly good-humored.

Ship is clean...does not seem crowded, fun crew, food was ok.

Everything on the Norwegian Star was top notch. The food was good, particularly in the specialty restaurants. The Tepanyaki restaurant was excellent, as was the Bistro, and the Italian restaurant were amazing! Loved the wine tastings ! Sherman in Gatsby's is the best waiter ever. He not only remembers your name after one visit, but remembers what you drink !!! That's a talent !!!!!

Overall fun cruise ship was clean

It was hard to come home after being spoiled by the staff on this ship.

Our cruise out of New Orleans was a nice comfortable cruise. Our experience with the onboard staff was wonderful. Collin, our stateroom steward did a fantastic job. It was unfortunate that I didn't pay enough attention to stateroom size. The stateroom we had, 8102, was very small and cramped. I had to climb over the bed to get into bed and my wife and I continuously bumped into each other when getting ready to go out. I'll pay more attention the next time. We both found the Freestyle buffet OK and the Versailles and La Cucina food very good. One aspect of the ship was not in the best cosmetic condition I would have expected. Of the two chairs in our stateroom, one had torn upholstery. We also found a few other chairs and seating around the ship that had torn upholstery. In the La Cucina Italian Restaurant, there was dried food stuck on one of the window curtains. That should have been caught by the staff and either cleaned or replaced. In the Versailles dining room, one of the curtains was falling off its track. This also should have been noticed and corrected by the staff. I would recommend the cruise to others but with the caution about checking stateroom size. I hope Norwegian puts more effort into maintaining the cosmetic condition of the ship.

The ship is clean and very well maintained. It feel commodious, and was very comfortable in rough seas.
