Review summary

The itinerary was great, Patagonian mountains and glaciers were spectacular, and the stops were very interesting, but the food choice for us, vegetarians, was very poor, and the entertainment was rather mediocre.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
My wife and I are vegetarians, and there was very little vegetarian choice of food. We ended up eating exactly the same breakfast all 14 days, and mostly the same Indian dish during the day. Luckily, we love Indian food. Otherwise, we would have to follow an advice of one of the chefs - "just eat salads". Well, I guess people don't go on a 14-day cruise "just to eat salads". I must add that all the waiters were great, friendly, courteous. The problem was only with the food choice.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We are not in the Napkin Folding or Trivia, so especially on Days at Sea we would just either eat or sleep, which is very unusual for us, very energetic Marathon runners

Entertainment

2 out of 5
There were three Production shows in 14 days - 2 were OK, one was excellent, and the rest of the nights there was a show with mostly 1-2 performers such as a magician, a comedian, dancers, a cello player, a singer.

Children's Programs

No children travelled with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Staff and Service were excellent and friendly

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean, but certainly not exciting like some other ships we sailed in the past.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was excellent

Was on the same Cruise and agree with many things you said. The sea days were also mainly chilly and wet, so it wasn't like you could lay by the pool. Thankfully we had purchased the Thermal Spa pass so we had some place to be. I am not a vegetarian, and I am so sorry you had a disappointing time with the food. I do wonder if you noted it on your reservation and met with the Special Diet Coordinator? Or, mentioned it to the Host. I have heard fabulous stories from other vegetarians who have done so and enjoyed the food quite a bit more than they expected. I hope if you give NCL another go you give this a try.
