Review summary

We liked the itinerary that’s why we booked it. But overall cruise experience fell short for us. We have hire expectations for food and overall service. When we saw the size of the doorway and entrance to the room I went right to guest services only to be told there was nothing that could be done. We should check back in a few days to see if another room became available. So we endured the cruise with the wheelchair blocking the doorway. A dangerous fire hazard. The cabin stewerd was very concerned that we could not get out fast if there was an emergency but no alternatives were given.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Nothing notable! Slow ding room service. Average at best tasting food. Good service in Le Bistro and Cagneys.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We were at the pool one of the three sunny days fifty present of the guest were outside. No entertainment no music playing. Ghostlike.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We say three dancing performances that were very good. The comedian was raunchy. Who talks about their fathers penis? Not funny at all.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our cabin Stewart was very nice. Very young but eager. One assistant Maitra D was very helpful. Everyone else seemed very young and pre occupied.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Classic OLD ship. The renovations look new but not well thought out. Chairs in new whiskey bar are not comfortable.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room was clean, furnished nicely but it was so narrow. You could Barely walk by the front of the bed. No room for the wheelchair to get in. Had to fold it every time.

Ship tip

This is not a good ship for anyone needing a mobility device. It is very narrow and hard to get by. Rooms that are not ADA rooms are not suitable for a wheelchair. Thermal suite is very small.

Disembarkation

We booked a tour with airport transfers. We were to meet in the star lounge. We could not get off the ship in the front because there were stairs. Husband in wheelchair. Elevators were very slow. By the time we got to deck four midship the tour is left. Very stressful.

Did you book an ADA room? If not, why would you expect a cruise cabin to accommodate a wheel chair?

As Artie said, ‘very interesting, but……’

Sounds like you should have booked a ADA room .
