OK Cruise, I'd cruise again, but not with Norwegian.

Review summary

Other than the horrific experience of embarking due to negligence by an employee, and a steward that didn't care to clean, my trip was fun. The weather got cold on the last few days, but I can't blame the cruise line or that. The food was good, the entertainment was great.

Embarkation

Terrible. The attendant at the terminal switched my Son and my Father's photos and id's(Both have the same name). Neither were allowed to get on board the vessel until it was figured. out. It took several trips to customer services to get it settled, and we experienced problems with it throughout the cruise. This was an isolated incident, and the rest of my large group embarked without incident. My 11 yr old son was quite upset that all he did the first day was wait in line at customer service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
No bad, not great. The food in the dining rooms was definitely better than the buffet. The soft drinks were watered down. Loved the banana bread though. I probably ate 3 loaves by myself.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pools were fun, but the weather was cold on some days. There wasn't a lot to do for non-drinkers and kids though.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most shows were fantastic. There were some things that weren't appropriate for kids, and guest should have been notified in advance. I walked out of one show.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
The programs filled up fast, so if you didn't wait in line an hour before hand, your kids couldn't participate. When they did get in, my kids were bored. Nothing for kids younger than 3, other than a play room where Mom or Dad had to stay with them.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the staff was fine. Good, but not great. My steward was terrible though. Most cabins got Towel animals everyday, and fun things like that. (My kids would have loved that) but we were lucky to get our bed made. We never had enough towels, and the room wasn't cleaned everyday.
