Review summary

been on princess twice to mexico, holland america once to alaska, but norwegian star worst ship we've been on. inferior crew (steward was good, several dining room wait staff were good) overall - discourteous and unfriendly. worst of all, food was poor in comparison with princess and holland america. never again.

steward was great, room furnishings inferior in comparison with 3 other cruise ships (not even a night table, but a rickety stand without drawers), chair in room had one bad leg, outlet at corner table broken, reception for onboard tv channel (#11) was terrible, could not even decipher place names on map (other channels were okay, but the most critical one for information was decidedly inferior); ironically, bathroom was best of all 4 ships we've sailed on. Cruise director did a wonderful job consistently. Did give additional tip to two exceptional staff on board $100 U.S. combined. Appreciate good service, but disappointed by overall performance of NCL on this cruise.
