A disappointing experience with NCL

Sail Date: June 25, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall the cruise line did the bare minimum to meet customers' needs. They spent all their time and effort on fee-based services. The $12 per person per day service charge is hefty and was not revealed in booking.

Pros: Alaska sceneries

Cons: the $12 per person per day hidden charges

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Children's Programs
Food and Dining
Waited more than 30 mins in the line for Chocolate Buffet. They could have openned up more sections to serve.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Ketchikan, Alaska
Juneau, Alaska
but the stupid cruise line gave us less time here than in Ketchikan and Prince Rupert.
Don't Miss: Glacier
Skagway, Alaska

Don't Miss: drive thru the White pass and yukon routes
