Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Take a trip over to Lovers beach and bring goggles to swim. The kids loved it. The water taxis add to the fun. The beach vendors are kind and respectful. We also did a snorkeling trip in the zodiacs. This was well worth it. The water was a bit cold this time of year. But we saw plenty of fish and the trip in the boat is fun as well.
Don't Miss: Walk over to Divorce beach to see the big surf. Do not swim here. It is too dangerous.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We did the zip line trip and really enjoyed it. It is a long trip from the port, but that gives you a chance to see the real side of the town. Certainly, there is plenty of room to improve the living standards of the more rural areas of the city.

Pros: great first cruise

Cons: The web site for NCL was a bit confusing pre cruise
