Review summary

This big ship is bright and cheerful. A few areas are a little worn but I understand it is going to be completely redone in October.

They are working hard to attract crusie ships. Shopping is just 300 feet from the ship.
Don't Miss: Bald eagles in the trees.

Skagway, Alaska

The train ride was good. The town is wonderful. Thins were close, there was a variety of things to look at. Don't miss the halibut and chips at the brewery.
Don't Miss: The brewery

Juneau, Alaska

The catamaran cruise was outstanding. We got close to wildlife including a humpbakc whale that kept coming up and diving. Crew was outstanding--captain very skilled in sighting wildlife. Expensive and worth every penny.
Don't Miss: Catamaran excursion

Pros: the casual dress throughout the week

Cons: staff are overworked so there was less service provided
