Review summary

Previous trips on NCL were great. This trip showed that NCL has cut costs by lowering quality of foods, transportation to shore was difficult as there were only two tendor boats taking passengers to shore. Bottled water was $5.00 per bottle and Bud Light Beer the same price. Seafood was undercooked in dining room, making some passengers sick where they were quarantined to their rooms for remainder of trip. Maybe quality is low only on this ship as my friends on an east coast NCL cruise, was a much better experience. I was surprised as NCL has been good in the past. Would not recommend this ship or cruise.

Ports of call

Mazatlan, Mexico

Pros: Servers were great

Cons: Buffet Food not usual quality; watered-down beverages; higher priced alcohol with smaller servings (example 1/3 glass wine for $12.00) Only two tender boats operating, making it difficult to get to shore if you did not buy ship excursions.

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.
