Norwegian Star

7 Night Alaska & Sawyer Glacier (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail date: May 12, 2007

Ship: Norwegian Star

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

1.The ship had severall mishaps - time delay due to fire in one of three engines, shut down one and only had two left. No information regarding early season cruises that limit the chances of seeing the GLACIERS(not safe) 2. No information about law concerning embarking at different locations(whether it is the Airlines fault or not! - missed the 1st 2 days of cruise as a result of airline 5 hour mechanical delay) 3. Automatic tipping is excessive and does not give the indivdual the opportunity to thank those that do a GOOD JOB and those that are mediocre.

Nothing really there - According to staff, it is only a stop because Canada requires it when entering their waters

Pros: There is alot of activities and events to keep you busy

Cons: Airline booking was a disaster - customer service was based on selling more packages and drinks
