Review summary

I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS CRUISE LINE TO ANYONE. THE FREESTYLE CRUISING IS A SHAM. THE FOOD IS SO BAD IN THE RESTAURANTS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR CRUISE THAT YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO GET GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD. THE STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL. OUR ROOM WAS DIRTY FOR 2 DAYS UNTIL THE HEAD OF HOUSEKEEPING TOOK OVER AND MADE SURE WE HAD TOILET PAPER, TUB MAT. OUR MINI BAR WAS NEVER REFILLED AT ALL, AND GETTING MOTION SICKNESS PILLS THAT WERE NEEDED TO KEEP ME OUT OF MY ROOM WERE GIVEN OUT WITH A LECTURE. I WAS NEVER COMFORTABLE LIKE ON OTHER CRUISES. THERE IS ALSO A $12 A DAY CHARGE FOR EVERY GUEST INCLUDING CHILDREN THAT IS ADDED TO YOUR BILL AT THE END OF THE CRUISE. THEY ALSO ADD A 15% TIP TO THEIR ALREADY OVERPRICED DRINKS AND THEN HAVE A SPACE FOR ANOTHER TIP, WHICH SOME FRIENDS MISTAKENLY FILLED OUT, BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT BROUGHT THEIR GLASSES TO THE POOL AND WERE NOT INFORMED OF THIS EARLIER. ALL AND ALL I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS CRUISE LINE TO ANYONE. THEIR ARE A LOT OF HIDDEN COSTS AND THE CREW DOES NOT EARN THEIR TIPS. THEY KNOW BEFORE THE CRUISE WHAT THEIR GETTING SO THEY HAVE THAT "I DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ATTITUDE".

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

FOOD WAS VERY BAD. THEY ACTUALLY HAD BREAKFAST SAUSAGE IN A PASTA DISH. YUK! YOU WOULD THINK FOR A CRUISE LINE THAT ADVERTISES TO BE SO HIGH QUALITY YOU WOULD FIND BETTER FOOD. THERE WAS ALOT OF INDIAN AND ASIAN DISHES WHICH I WOULDN'T FEED TO MY PETS. IM NOT SURE IF THEY WERE EVEN NATIVE TO THESE COUNTRIES. REGARDLESS, THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE CHOICES AND BETTER FOOD.

Entertainment

TO MANY FAMILY SHOWS. IT WOULD OF BEEN NICE TO BE ABLE TO GO OUT MORE WITH NOT A LOT OF CHILDREN AT YOUR FEET.

Service and Staff

WE HAD A FRIEND IN A WHEELCHAIR AND WAS TOLD THAT WE DID NOT NEED OUR PASSPORTS ON THE TRAIN IN SKAGWAY. THEN GETTING OFF THE SHIP WE WERE TOLD THAT WE DID NEED THEM. WE ASKED THE QUESTION AND GOT 2 DIFFERENT ANSWERS FROM 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE. NO ONE KNEW FOR SURE. THEY STARTED QUESTIONING EACH OTHER. THAT WAS JUST ONE INSTANCE IN WHICH NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW ANYTHING.

ROOM WAS DIRTY AND NOT VACUUMED OR SWEPT. AFTER I GOT A LONG BLACK HAIR ON MY LEGS WHILE I WAS LOTIONING THEM AND IM A BLONDE. I CALLED AND THEY FINALLY CLEANED. I KNEW THAT THEY HAD VACUUMED BECAUSE THE CORNER OF THE ROOM WAS NO LONGER CAKED WITH DUST.
