Review summary
Our trip to Alaska was enhanced by the Norwegian Star. The ship was very nice, our staterooms were far better than any we have had on our last 3 cruises, and the entertainment and food were great.Ship experiences

Pros: Seeing Alaska for the first time.
Cons: We found the service that we received in 2 restaurants, the Blue Lagoon and Versailles, not up to the standards of NCL. We attributed this to the automatic 15% gratuity. Most people on the ship were great, but the Blue Lagoon and Versailles restaurants left a lot to be desired as far as the service
Recommends Norwegian Star? Yes!
