Review summary

If you're looking to just check Alaska off your list and not actually explore the state this cruise if for you. It was only one stop in Ketchikan and it is a very small town and not a ton of things to do. Cute downtown area but you can walk it in about an hour. You wont be the gorgeous mountain ranges and glaciers that you might expect for Alaska. Note: this ship does NOT have a kids club so I don't recommend brining kids as there isn't much for them to do.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I thik I may have received one email about having a negative test to embark but then never heard about it again. All the emails and information I received in the mail from Norwegian didnt mention it. It only mentioned having the vaccination information which we did. So when we arrived we had to do covid testing right there and of course had to pay crazy fees to do it. This should have been much better communicated. It was just myself, many people felt the same way.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There was food everywhere (it is a cruise after all) but the food was just good, nothing great. We went to the Windows restaurant most nights and every night there was something listed on the menu that they did not have available which was frustrating. The food at the Garden Buffet didn't change much so you have the same options everyday. We didn't do any specialty options.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were a lot to do but I wish they had more activities for kids. Especially since this boat removed their kids club.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Some great shows on the main stage and the comedians were fantastic but very little to do with children.

Children's Programs

It was defintiely nto communicated that this boat removed their kids club during the pandemic. When I selected this cruise I specifically googled pictures of this space and it looekd great so we were extremely disappointed when we got on board and it wasn't there. We were not the only family that was unaware as well. I chose Norwegian since they're so family friendly but I guess I was wront.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was amazing

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was extremely clean, especially our room. The ship is very small which also means you feel every wave that you go through so if you are prone to motion sickness beware.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was great for what we reserved. The bathroom was small but actually much larger than other ships we have been on. My daughter loved sleeping in the bunk bead.

Ship tip

There is NO kids club so this was not a great ship for children.

As long as you carry your own luggage off, it was so easy.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry about the youth program.

Thanks for the review. This itinerary at least has long times in the 2 ports it does visit. Short port times is a complaint on many cruises from Seattle.
