Review summary

Was very skeptical and scared after reading all of the negative reviews regarding the Norwegian Spirit! Sorry for those people that feel that way to write those negative reviews, it must suck to be so negative and never happy or pleased!

The ship was great, yes it is not off the showroom floor but I think that only gives it character. It was very well laid out and the pool area is excellent.

Food was great all over and we especially enjoyed Cagney's!!! Breakfast outside on the back of the ship each morning was awesome as well!

Room was a typical cabin on a ship, if you are expecting a huge hotel room, go to a hotel! We had Balcony room 11128 which was very nice and the balcony is a must from here on out as this was our first.

I would definitely cruise this ship again but am looking forward to trying the Epic next March!

jdg985, we will be shipmates in August! Have cruised before but this wii be 1st with Norwegian and 1st in Europe. I'm having a great time over researching everything :-)

I cruised the Spirit and what a nice ship. Not too small of course and the right size. When we went it was 2006,2007 a back to back, 2007 a cruise to no where and Repositioning cruise from New Orleans to New York City. I had a blast. I would love to sail on her again, but she's in Florida now I believe being home ported for a while.

Well I hate to be negative bit I've cruised both ships and def think the Spirit is a far superior ship in every way.

Thanks for the review, however reading this is killing me. I'm so darn excited. I am not setting sail until Aug 25. For the eastern European cruise. I can't wait. Not only is it our first cruise but will be our first vacation without kids since our son was born.(He's 10). Any advice for first timers on a ship? Thanks again!

We're doing our 2nd cruise, with Norwegian, out of Port Canaveral this time. About the same ship I've heard. Expect it to be just as enjoyable. Coffee on the balcony every morning, a great dinner, maybe coffee or wine on the balcony in the evening. Everything else in between is a bonus!!

We have cruise on several Norwegian ships. We had a bad experience on the Dawn last year but because of previous good experiences on Norwegian we leave next week on the Pearl for 11 day Panama Cruise because we feel it was a fluke. Norwegian is by far the best Cruise line.

We had the same experience on the Dawn, our 1st cruise and we had a terrific time! Great dining in the main dining roons. Check out the Blue Lagoon for breakfast or quick sit down lunch.
