Review summary

Good price for the cruise, the food and great excursions.

But crew members who swear in front of you was a shocker!

upon embarking, going up the escalator from the shops to the ship from the terminal in Barcelona was a 'no-greet moment' from a scary stare by a staff member. We saw this crew member regularly in the pool area, never smiles (except with his colleagues). Hearing other crew members arguing and swearing together in the back of the buffet area was frequent. Disappointed at this experience, went to the office to lay a complain, was asked to write one, so I did, took a photocopy before I passed to them, never received any communication from the company since. So sent my photocopy letter, again heard nothing in the mail/email. Gave up on that, so did my choice of this cruise line. I was very much looking forward to this cruise line as it was my first. Their marketing was incredible, but short lived my expectations.

Excellent, loved it. Great service by the friendly crew member looking after my cabin.

Ship tip

Great itineraries, great ship, good food. Just make sure your complaint is acknowledged when you hear a lot of swearing crew members. Hopefully management will control this.

Yes, both Turkey ports are canceled and replaced with Kotor, Montenegro (06/09/16) and Dubrovnik, Croatia (06/10/16). The good news is it looks like we will be getting to Venice, Italy earlier than originally planned (2:00p, instead of 9:00p) on 06/11/16 and exiting the ship on Sunday, 06/12/16. If you had not create an account with My NCL, you should, you can also complete your check-in, etc.

we are also on the May31st cruise.this is my first NCL cruise. I didn't know they cancelled Turkey .

I am also on the NCL Spirit May 31st 2016 cruise and looking forward to the new ports just added to replace the Turkey ports. Everyone I spoke with stated if NCL had went to the Turkey ports, they would not have left the ship. Moreover, it is frightening to believe a group of people (terrorist) have that kind of control over the rest of the world.

I commend you for trying to do the right thing and feel your anguish that you had not received any kind of communication on the events described above. In my opinion, NCL and their employees are quickly losing sight of what side their bread is butter on; especially when there are so many more choices than NCL.

Our previous trips on carnival and my girls loved the evening photo set ups they had. Do they have this on Norwegian. Also did you use the on board service of being able tic text each other?
