The food was good and always gave you the option of a staple like steak or chicken if you didn't like the daily specials. This was our second cruise to Bermuda using the "freestyle" cruising method. The first year we didn't like it because you sometimes had to wait or search for restaurants that weren't full. This year on the bigger and newer ship you sometimes had to wait a short period as well, but you didn't mind as much because you knew what to expect. Both styles have their pros and cons, but IMO, Freestyle dining is better than having to eat at a specific time only.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Pretty standard entertainment that we found to be on par with the other cruise lines we have been on. The final show where the crew display their talents like singing or playing a guitar is fantastic and should not be missed.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The ship's personnel were friendly for the most part, but not any more or less friendly than on any of the other cruise lines we have been on.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and looked like new in most areas. Someone finally developed a well designed layout for a cruise ship. Everything was accessible and easy to locate. This is the nicest ship we have been on in the 8 or so cruises that we have done.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The rooms were OK, but much smaller than we are used to. Showers and toilet stalls were tiny. The good news is that if you are spending a lot of time in the room, then you are missing out on the ship's or Bermuda's amenities.
Snorkel Beach and Horseshoe Bay are terrific. The cruise around the bay to see the houses of the rich and famous was OK at best. The tour guide was rude to his crew and frankly, a little too pompous. They also advertise a free bottle of water while on the tour in the pamphlet, but then you are charged $2 for this mini-bottle when you ask for one. It's a minor issue, but for some reason it irritated us.
