My husband bookes this cruise this past summer.  We live in Concord NC in the summer months, and we live ins Sebring Fl. in the winter. This past summer I finished 2 bouts of Bladder and found out I had Breast cancer, This is the second time for that also. During my raditatin I was tolatly discourage.  My husband bookes this a a incentive for me to get through.  We boarded the ship with a few smiles,  Maain complaint was the food, you we in lines for ever food was cold and things were the saame everynight.  Entanment was fair.  no very handi cap acessible.allowing children of all ages 2-10 to stay in the hot tubs made it impossible to use. again very very dificult to acessible  All in all it was our first experince and will be our last

You would not think it would be possible to have so much fun, meet such wonderful people, and still have time for some much needed R&R in a short 4 day trip which is why we had never taken a cruise any shorter than 5 days but now that I know that there is plenty of time to squeeze in everything I will definitely take in consideration a shorter cruise next time. This was our first cruise on Norwegian and my husband and I really liked the freestyle dining especially, one afternoon after coming back to our room we noticed a note stuck to our mirror in the bathroom that said " Come join us and show off your favorite outfit tonight in the dining room" there was "no formal attire required" mentioned just "favorite outfit"  so we dressed for dinner and made our way to the dining room and were pleasantly surprised to see everyone in nice casual wear and it didn't matter that we weren't ontime we were still happily greeted and seated so 2 thumbs up to whomever came up with the freestyle cruising idea, it's awesome.

room was so small, unable to store luggage, wore only two outfits for four days. severe shortage of electical outlets, didn't feel comfortable with unstructured eating, No table or waiter relationships established. food, srvice, shows and atmosphere excellent.

Two problems ...We were promised 100 dollars in on board spending and never got it.  Second another couple from our area spent 100 dollars less [per person and got rooms with a balcony.  not fair ....disapointed.

Beautiful and luxurious ship, crew very polite and well trained. Very good food, with different menus every day and with fast and efficient service. In comparison to many journeys I've ever done for Carnival and Costa Cruises, only found very small cabin (ocean view) and Kids Club

extremely weak. Recommend and make other trips by Nowregian.

A very enjoyable time.  The service staff, in particular Gelinda Adora in the Crossings dining room went out of her way to get to know us and said hello to us everytime she saw us around the ship.  The food was excellent in the dining room and at the buffet.  For the price, you can not beat the deal we got for this quick 4 day last minute cruise.

Great cruise especially for the price; smaller ship which made it more intimate, everthing was within strolling distance . So many activities, you had to choose which sounded like more fun (something for everyone). Only issue was the buffet, small area, got confusing trying to figure out the right way to go, use main dining, much better and easier to manuevuer.

we cruised many times with the NCL sky never we had such bad experience the crew was not available for talking to, any service was cut

we are silver latidute member, we used to tread that way, on the service desk they told us that are no specials like a chocolade tread every night on the pillowor

the touwl animals are cut too, they also charget us for taking  some items out of the frigerator we didn't, they frigarator was not checked out fom the stateroom service when the guest checked out the last time, many items were missing, I think that is not right to charged the missing items from the next passenger's, when we issud the problem they say just sorry, that's it

so no service no cruises anymore with the NCL

What a trip?  A delightful, fulfilling experience from beginning to the end.  Processing was extremely efficient in boarding the ship  and flow of traffic was well controlled.  Thr entire staff whether in the dining areas, casino, waiters, etc. were very friendly, spontaneous, and always willing to help.  We particularly enjoyed the free style dining and had no difficulty throughout the trip in b eing seated, served and  given . special treatment.

The shows were especially enjoyable.  We loved the dancing and singing of the performers  The comedian was also very funny.  The music in the Dazzle room was so-so(primarily hip hop, disco). We enjoy music for ballroom dancing.  At times, there was music outsidee the casino where our type of music was bering played but there was no room to dance as people would be passing by.  Additionally, the Latin music was geared solely to salsa.  We like the merengue, tango, cha cha which the duo did not play.  In summary, the music is geared for younger people (50 years or younger).  Seniors make up a good part of your passengers and more music should be available to accommodate them.

This was our first cruise experience and it was amazing. The service was top-notch and so much fun to be had. We would definitely cruise Norwegian again

The perfect 3 day get away.

We all need to recharge our batteries from time to time and a cruise always hits the spot for me.

Norwegian Sky is an exellent boat and experience.

Great food and plenty of stuff to do on the ship.

It was a nice experience, but it was way too quiet for a cruise - party-wise.

it was a ghost town after Midnight.. so, the casino, some bars, and mostly everything was closed...

you'd see very few people just hanging out a little in secluded spots...

the staff were very nice, the ship was clean

the alcohol not very expensive for the ship i think, but because my spouse is a drinker, it cost us a lot of money at the end... so beware not to swipe your card left and right because u'll end up with a HUGE bill...

The beaches that we were taken to were so so...

Great Stirrup Cay - had so many rocks you can cut your feet on while going into the water, it was ridiculous...

Nassau, Bahamas - if I went to Atlantis, I'd have to pay extra... what?? why?

oh, right, there was the free beach... water was rough... no lifeguards... little kids almost drown...

at Freeport - a LONG drive to the "free" beach... we didnt even have any money left for it anymore....

I'm not being cheap, but, guys, when you pay so much for the cruise already, why do I have to pay so much extra for things that should have been included.....

this is why we decided that cruises are not for us. we much rather prefer all-inclusive resorts, and do whatever we want there - unlimited.... :)

WITH PURCHASE,AS WE SPEAK WE NEVER GO ON NORIGUEN DUE BAD EXPERIENCE,AS WE ABOURD OFFER $169X2 FOR DRINKS,ETC,NEVER HAPPEN,ROOM SERVICE DIDN'T HAPPEN.WE CHARGE DOUBLE, OVER CHARGE US,I NEVER HAD A EXPERIENCE WE HAVE TRAVEL THREW OTHER CREWSLINES,NEVER ISSUE LIKE THIS,WE CAME BACK MORE STRESS THAN EVER.WILL LIKE A RESPONSE OR A REVIEW TO BE SOMTHING REMBURSE.FORBAD EXPERINCE.HOPE COULD UNDERSTAN IS OUR DUTY & MONT OF EXPERIENCE.HOPE COULD HELP.

Not sure what's happening on the Sky?

the crew members, expecially the bartenders

and dining staff were very unfriendly. Ship is looking a 

little worn as well. I have cruised on several different

cruise lines and this one by far has the worst crew. Even

the casino staff didn't smile while they were taking my money.

On a positive note, Great Stirrip Cay is really nice and the lunch

spread was good. Oh well, live and learn. My next cruise will

be a Royal Caribbean cruise again. 

I was not please with the booking experience I had.  I was tricked by the promotion that supposedly give you onboard credits but prior to making sure that everything was ok, I was told that I was misinformed.  This was suppose to be my Birthday Cruise.  I was very disappointed and they offered me nothing other than I'm sorry.  Unacceptable.  I will only book through NCL and not through no one else.  I'm a lattitude member and when they offer something they really follow through.  No deception there.

The base price was only $160 or the 3day from Miami to Bahamas.

The likes...

#1 I liked the price.

#2 I liked the private island thing, (first time for a private island stop for us)

We were there late Sept, so the water was warm and the air was hot, so as long as you were in the water drinkin' booze..it was great.

#3 I liked that I ultimately didn't step off the boat until 9ish am, even though the dock time back @ Miami was 7am... I didn't feel rushed off.

#4 I liked the "open dining thing", I think.

We didn't know exactly what to expect. My wife and I only went into the more formal dining area twice, but it was pleasant both times, and both times, they seated us together alone.

#5 Bed and pillows were compfy in our basic room on 6 foward. We slept well.

#6 1st time I've seen real steel drums on a ship before. I like dat.

The dislikes...

#1 The cafeteria food in general was not as good as RC. The variety was less.. alot of hamburgers and hot dogs.

I like my grub alot. I was always looking for something better.

Would have loved to had some ribs. Finally found them on day two @ the private island chow line, and they were really good.  Salad bar  in cafeteria was just a little beyond basic, I thought....Not elaborate like Fogo De Chao, Or the salads they make for you on RC in the formal dining areas @ lunchtime.

#2 On day 1, my wife and I elected to partipate in an optional PubCrawl for $25 each. It was very dissapointing. Our 'leader' ran us through the cafeteria where it was impossible to keep the group together without colliding into people, carrying plates of food.  He wasn't smart enough to have us put our hands on each other's hips to "form a train" and "sing the locomotion" in order to keep us together.  So I did it myself when he lead us to the next stop and had many in the group doing it and singing it. I don't think he liked me much after that. He was from Canada and I think his head might have been square. The actual drinks on the pubcrawl were in small plastic cups... lame. especially for $5 each. I liked 1 or 2 of the drinks of the 5, and many of the drinks were not drank by others in the group at all. He made us yell "whoo" alot, so as to have, and/or appear to have... fun.

Near the end of our pubcrawl, he told us he was running late & had to go to his next event and he told us how we could get our last drink ourselves.. It felt cheap, and would have been more appropriately priced at $5 for the whole thing.

#3 The TV in our "basic room" was a 13" analog TV. It worked well if you turned down the volume and used it for a night light, though..

#4 Not very good sports bar(s). Specifically, either have more than one, or have a one big sports bar. They need bigger, better TV's, more of them, and more seating.

Would I do it again?

Oh, I doubt it, and yet I wonder if it would have been all-around better if had been a 7 day cruise.  Guess I'll have to see what RC's 3day is like to know.

This cruise was excellent. The scenery was amazing. Where can you get all the great food, music, entertainment and relaxation for this price for a whole weekend? This was a wonderful way to travel. I am so ready to book my next cruise and enjoy the experience again!

I have cruised with Norwegian before (a 7 night trip to the Western Carribean) and absolutely loved it! I was expecting a similar experience this time, but was somewhat dissappointed. I realized while on the 3 night cruise that our ship was much smaller than the Pearl and I'm assuming that's based on the fact that it was a much shorter cruise; 7 night vs 3 night. The Sky is a much older ship that needs renovating. There weren't very many night time activities for us to do; I went with 2 of my girl friends. The lounge/bar areas didn't have much going on after dinner. I will say that our interior stateroom had plenty of space for the 3 of us which was a pleasent surprise. However, there was only 1 electrical outlet for all 3 of us to share which was a challeng! Some of the staff was very short with guest. One day we had to take small boats to the dock (tendered) and there were announcements made every so often for them to call down each group. The speakers are not in the staterooms and when you are out on the boat it is difficult to hear. One elderly guest was confussed about what needed to happen to be able to get off the boat and the staff person said, with an aggrevated attitude, we've been making announcements all morning, what did you think we were saying. I was pretty upset at the staff person and said the announcements were difficult for even me to hear (and I'm 30 with no hearing problems) and I could understand why the guest didn't know what was going on. He just stared at me as I turned in my ticket. Not a great experience. The private island was crowded, but not so that it was unpleasant. The excursion we went on, the Blue Lagoon private beack, at Nassau was very nice but everything had an upcharge which was dissappointing. The beach was very nice though. One other thing, is they continued to play the same music over and over for the 3 days. Some of the poolside activities turned into something I was embarassed to be around; a men's best legs contest turned into a lap dance contest which was not appropriate for children to be around, yet it was right in front of the family pool! I will not book another cruise on the Sky, but I will cruise with Norwegian again. The food is great.

The cruise was fun. It was more of an older crowd which I enjoyed. The played music and had a Latin night but it only lasted 1 hour. I think they need to increase that a bit. Give the cruise more flavor and variety. The food was excellent all was exceptionally clean. I honestly think it was an amazing cruise overall. The great stirrup cay was not fun. It's kinda boring but that might be since they are still constructing it.

this was our 70 cruise.sailed with 2 other couples. the food was excellent especially in the Bistro. Staff was very friendly. great time on the beachday will be sailing again on the sky . great price great timecant wait to go again
