My family went on our first cruise on the Sky. The experience was mostly successful with beautiful weather and ports of Freeport and Nassau.  The disappointment we had was not being able to go to the private island.  The reviews from others cruisers were that 9 out of 10 times, the passengers never get to experience the island. We understand the weather is out of the control of the cruise line,  but if this island is weathered control, I feel that it should not be on the itinerary or an alternative port should be scheduled.  On the positive side,  Tyler, the cruise director,  was wonderful, and the comedian,  Russ Rivas, was superb!!

I've cruised multiple times but this was my first cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines.  Overall, the experience was positive.  The staff were always friendly and helpful. The public areas were nice and appeared to be well maintained.  The food and service in the main dining halls was good and food temperature was overall good.  The food temperatures on the buffet restaurants on the 11th deck were very inconsistent especially for breakfast.  On three different days, scrambled eggs were runny and the temperatures (like the breakfast meats and potatoes) were cold to barely warm.   I'd definitely recommend a dining hall for meals ( or the custom omelet area for breakfast).  The bars were well staffed and the lines were reasonable.  If you go for dinner at a dining hall and it's busy, they will ask if you would share a table.  You may want to consider waiting for a table rather than being seated with other couples.  One night we dined with two other couples at a large table.  Halfway through the main course,  one of the couples had a drunken make-out session at the table and left when they realized they were making a scene...awkward. 

The cruise was wonderful and we had a great time.  Food was good, service was good and everyone was very friendly.

My husband, Jack, entered the Mr. Sexy Leggs contest and he won.  He was in his hayday with the attention.  Jack is 82 years old and in better shape then some 30 year olds.  I was very proud of him and he lit up like a Christmas tree.

We will certainly book another cruise soon and have the time of our lives again.  Thank you to the cruise line and it's staff.

Cruise was amazing. Staff was great.   Food was awesome ..   entertainment was great. My wife and I had a great time. Can't wait to sail again.  No regrets with this cruise. Wait staff great.  Steward was great

Our server Rhoda in the Crossings made our Anniversary dinner Saturday night very special, she sang to us and was very cheerful throughout our dinner

Food at the buffets was kept clean, very good and plentiful

The drinks throughout the ship were mixed well and very good

The cruise Director Tyler was awesome, he was all over the ship

Older ship but staff and management make up for it. Great entertainment. Stateroom Steward did an amazing job. Needed more variety of food especially dinner time.

I thought that this ship was a none smoking ship. My whole group were disappointed that we had to inhale smoke. We couldn't get away from it, it was in the bar lounges, bars and casino. We will never take the sky or Norwegian again.

What wonderful three days!but went quickly,we almost can't catch the tail!

The most praise is service,no matter room service,dinner service or kids,from the lovely towel rabbits to smile on every body's face. We like Norwegian. 

Not the best!!! Balcony room in need of an upgrade. Torn seats etc. food so/so. On the tenth deck should have been great. They had the pool above our heads.so they clean the pool area at 2 am moving all the tables chairs etc. next night they had the pool party til two am with the music blasting into the cabin. 

If you want to party til all ours of the night this is the cruise for you . Not impressed! We usually take Royal carribean .... No comparison. The shopping on the ship was minimal. Would not reccomend this cruise

The dining and bar service crew members were very friendly. Our cabin steward was excellent! She was very friendly always remembered our names and spoke to us when meeting in hallway. The food was excellent, good portions. Very good overall. The all inclusive beverage package was a big plus, so nice not to have to worry about needing your card each time you wanted a beverage. The drinks included in the package were all excellent. Thank you, we had a nice time, even though the weather didn't cooperate

Overall, we had a great experience on the Norwegian. My boyfriend and I went together and this was our first cruise. We loved the all inclusive aspect and all of the nightly entertainment. The food that was included in the trip was pretty good, but the specialty dining was very delicious! Our stewardess did a good job for her first week on the job and our room was always kept clean. We were told the Sky is one of the smallest Norwegian ships, but we enjoyed it still.

Great trip overall!

I would recommend this crusie line, I think they are working on the night entertainment, that was the only thing we think needs some improvement, this is why I did 3stars, very clean employees are happy, we just had one tired employee, so not so bad, room service awesome, captain amazing.

The Norwegian Sky is an excellent ship to enjoy your cruise on. Everyone from the Captain to the cleaning crew ensure that you have the best vacation of your life.

I really enjoyed the 4 nights aboard the Norwegian Sky.  The buffet and included restaurants were great as was the variety of entertainment.  Service was great and the staff very friendly.  The included beverages made it easy to enjoy the cruise without having to worry about a big of a bar bill we would end up with.

We got in line early to get good seating in the auditorium for the Super Bowl only to have the people in front of us let every friend and family member they knew butt in front of us.  Went from fifth in line to seventy-fifth in no time flat!  Not a single crew member or security officer in sight too!  This was the only disappointment for what was for the most part a very nice cruise

the decision to take this cruise was made after finding I had a business meeting in Miami in february and would be a good opportunity to get some friends together - the all inclusive (alcohol also) sounded like the perfect thing - just because that can become a huge expense...

didn't think about it being Superbowl weekend and didn't think about all of the folks who would be on this strictly for the unlimited booze..

the food was okay, the staff was the best thing about the whole trip. We left friday and waters were rough and it was rainy and windy on the way to Nassau - so combine unlimited alcohol and a rocking boat, and the results are less than spectacular (there were sick bags everywhere around the ship) - saturday was a nice day in port but then we got news that a storm was approaching and the captain decided we would stay put and not sail to their private island - again it was a tad cold but no worries, we finally left Nassau on Sunday and spent the day rocking our way back to port in Miami - the crew came up with activities and there was a certain feeling of absurdity with some..As in during the Mr Sexy Legs contest, the cruise director, Tyler, chose some contestants which was fine and then chose 3 judges (women from the audience) - it was more like a porn club than a stupid, fun contest - at one point he asked one of the female judges (the only one who was african american,) if she preferred dark meat or white meat...really Tyler? slick move - the journey back was uneventful..we docked in Miami on monday morning to a lovely day - won't do that cruise again - but it's good for a weekend of partying....

Ship (Norwegian Sky) in need of attention - evidence of aging in many areas including rust, worn fabrics, maintenance issues, etc.  Our balcony stateroom was very cramped (in comparison with other cruise lines).  I am also having issues with Norwegian's billing for our cruise, in that I am being charged for items not purchased.  This issue will be resolved shortly, hopefully.  All in all, a somewhat disappointing vacation.

Perfect job by cruise members and their whole team....

I have always enjoyed Norwegian.  This was the worst cruise I have been on with them.  It started with the onboarding process.  Most cruise lines have found ways to make the process faster and less painful.  Norwegian has gone to a model of giving out tickets when you enter the waiting room and then calling out those groups.  The challenge was no one was there to let us know this was the process and there was also no one there to give us a ticket.  We were one of the first onboard but they had not set up this process in the room yet.  So when people started getting on the ship we were told we needed a ticket and were forced to wait an additional 45 minutes.  Not the way to start.

Once on board we were able to see our room and the plastic container the mattresses were in were dirty and stained.  Our room attendant was never seen which is really unusual for a cruise ship.  We tried to send in laundry and had to call back twice and the laundry came back a day later than promised.  Not the level of customer service I have learned to expect on a cruise ship.

Overall the cruise was fine, the food at the specialty restaurants was good and the food at the regular restaurants was mediocre.  The comedian and the shows were okay as well.  Maybe this is the level you get on the shorter cruises.

When we getting ready to get off the ship the line was ridiculously long.  Everyone was sent off the ship quickly and then stood in a line that wound through lines of chairs.  Again, nothing that said we are trying to make this a great experience.  Maybe you keep people on board until lines are shorter.

Based upon this cruise I am not sure I will go on Norwegian again

ALL STAFF WAS EXCELLENT .  MY ROOM WAS SO CLEAN . I DONT REMEMBER THE MAID /MALE NAME  THAT TOOK CARE OF MY ROOM 8025. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND KIND TO US, VERY PROFESIONAL MANERS AND ESPECIALY HE WAS DOING HIS WORK WITH DIGNITY. WE BELIEVE HE DESERVES TO GET A PROMOTION W THE COMPANY. ONLY ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT  ABOUT   THE HALLWAYS IN MY FLOOR LOOKED LIKE IT WAS WET AND DIRTY. ALL STAFF WAS AGAIN THE BEST, THE SHIP WAS AMAZING AND THE ENTERTEINMNET STAFF WAS ECECELLENT. I WILL GO BACK AGAIN. ISLAND WAS AMAZING. I KEEP TLLING MY FRIENDS ABOUTH  NCL.
