I'll keep this short and to the point. Cruising is not what it used to be. My wife and I took our very first Cruise 25 years ago for out honeymoon. It was fabulous! Since theno we have cruised at least 20 additional times, several on Norwegian. Over the years, the cruising experience has diminished in terms of service and staff friendliness in general.

But before I complain, let me first provide some compliments. We were really impressed with our room steward because he made it  point to call my wife, my son, and me by name. He made it personal, like the old days. Second, the assistant Cruise director and entertainment guy (Yahshua, I believe) was personable. Lastly, kudos on the all inclusive. I know it's a trial period but it's a differentiator. However, from a business perspective it must be challenging to be profitable with that model. So I assume cost has to be cut somewhere. 

Now to my complaint and biggest disappointment (and no, it's not because I donated $500 to the casino. That was planned!), my wife and I celebrated our 25 anniversary and no one acknowledged it any way. I made it known when I booked the cruise and when I checked. That'said quite disappointing! Obviously, we had other options but we chose Noweigian Cruise Lines to celebrate such a milestone. Lesson learned.

My last complaint is about one of the casino workers. I believe her name is Ashcraft  (light skin, shoulder length hair). She was extremely rude - just a bad personality who should not be customer facing without much more customer experience training. But in spite of her bad attitude, I still chose to play at the casino all 4 nights. The guys were really good, especially Vijay.

I see that I didn't keep it short but really my complaint is about not receiving any type of acknowledgement of our 25th anniversary, even though you were informed AND we are past guests.

The friendliness of the staff carry over my frustration why 

I choose Norwegian.  This is my first time cruise experience

and I can say it's not so good experience... bed is so terrible 

with two twin bed align together to make it like a queen

size bed one side is higher that other and sunk. I know I

booked the trip with free WIFI and an open Bar for my free

upgrade but to my frustration no free WIFI for me and no 

open bar. The entertainment sucks! 

Norwegian Sky is ready for you to party! All inclusive (food AND alcoholic drinks). Noticed tons of bachelor/bachelorette parties on board so might not be the best "family vacation" choice. Nonetheless.. Super friendly staff all around. Plenty to do on the boat (pools, jacuzzi's, nightclubs, comedy club, jewelry stores, fitness center, spa, casino) but also lot's of great excursion choices (I strongly recommend doing the Mini Boat Excursion at Nassau which you personally drive, to a private island to snorkel and tour a few celebrity's million dollar homes). Last minute trip for my boyfriend & I, booked in less than 10 minutes online. My first cruise and i'll defiantly be back! 

Great service, spotlessly clean. Ship is vintage but in great condition and well maintained.

Specialty dining was excellent. Great value for money for a brief getaway.

Staff couldn't be more helpful

The ship's facilities and programs were good and the crew was nice. The included a stop at Freeport which did not offer much to do. The next stop at Nassau was better with many activities to choose from. The visit to Atlantis was good, however it is ridiculously expensive for few hours access to the facility food and drinks. Do we opted for a short tour on a boat to see the island and the villas next to Atlantis and had a chance to see the fish and feed them.

Overall the the ship and the activities on board made up for the disappointment of Freeport.

I will certainely research the islands or the stops the ship makes before embarking on my next cruise to enjoy the trip better.

Great Ship and Great Crew! Smoothing sailing with great stops. Really enjoyed the Bamahas National Park on Grand Bahama, kids loved the caves and the beach was fantastic, raw and natural. 

BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME FOR VACATIONS, WE TOOK A WEEKEND FOR THAT, AND IS AWESOME, I RECOMMEND IT 100%  IS RELAXING, NO CELLPHONES, NO BAT NEWS, IS LIKE DIFFERENT WORLD 

Fun cruise, tons of stuff to do, plentiful drinks, friendly staff, older but clean/tidy ship! The staff was really friendly, they made sure you knew what time to be back on the ship and anything you needed they were there to help. Tons of drinks to choose from and multiple eating options. Lots of fun! 

Great entertainment, great and friendly staff (best staff ever), great food with all the drinks you want, a lot of activities on and off the ship. This is the place to be!

This is a idea trip if your intentions are to relax and enjoy the benefits of being pampered from the moment that you board the ship until it's time to return back to reality. My vacation was during the height of hurricane season so the weather played a significant role in hampering our excursion but it did not do anything with hindering the Norwegian Crew from making this a rememberable time!

Had a wonderful time on the Sky which is a very well maintained ship. The drinks were ever flowing and the fun never slowed Dow. . Only negative was the food was not as quality as on Royal Caribean!

First timer. Good experience, will more than likely go on another cruise with more friends and family. I did not know what to expect since I have heard different kinds of stories, both good and bad. However, the trip was better than I had expected.

The food at all the specialty rest. were great!!  The staff and crew were wonderful too! Easy to get around on the ship, lots of friendly people to help. Good entertainment and casino.

We had not used your line before.... 15 times on Royal Carribean.... but will use your line from now one.... the staff were wonderful... interacted with us on a regular basis... always smiling... entertainment in small lounge areas what we loved best.... MIP group out of Columbia were out of this world.... Please let us know when they are playing with you again and we will book a cruise!!!! You will see us again on your cruise line... Thank you for a great time!

Found that this cruise was an excellent value for the cost of the cruise.

My wife and I have cruised numerous times on Celebrity Cruises so we did have a benchmark to compare.  We found that the atmosphere was enjoyable, the Freestyle is a great idea.  We felt that the quality of the meals was below that of Celebrity's but acceptable.  The cabin was clean and comfortable and the attendant was conscientious.  We felt that the entertainment was good and the service although not, once again, that of Celebrity's, the staff tried hard but didn't seem to have the same experience or professionalism.  Having said this, we really enjoyed the cruise and need to remember that the cost here is much less than it was while cruising Celebrity. 

In summary, great cruise and we will definitely go again with NCL.

The ports of call were great and found the private beaches used during the excursions excellent. The entertainment on the ship was lacking in quality especially compared to my experience on other cruises both on Norwegian and other companies.

My wife and I went on four cruises this summer. Norwegian sky was the best. The four day is much better than three day. The day at see gives you a full day to enjoy the pool and the rest of the ship. Some pool games and poolside dances especially the white party👍  Stardust and dazzles nighttime entertainment is the best. We go to all the shows and dances until close. Then to outdoor cafe for an after midnight snack. The Sky is 5 star all of the way. Enjoy 

My friend and I decided to try out our first cruise and are super glad we picked this one. Tons of activities, though mostly we enjoyed the open bar and sat by the pool/hot tubs. Room was pretty comfortable even for two large men (we had an interior because we planned to spend most of our time outside anyway). We even met a few new friends along the way.

Only downside was that the one excursion we really wanted to do was parasailing in Nassau but it was cancelled the morning of due to the boat breaking down. Oh well...back to the bar!

Great food ....great entertainment especially the comedian ...the free drink special should be on every cruise line !! The staterooms were clean and roomy....the staff was great and very friendly 

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary by taking a cruise on the Norwegian Sky. We had a wonderful time to say the least. We had a balcony on the 10th deck mid ship and it was perfect. Close to the elevator, one deck below the pool and buffet. Food was great and the NCL employees were fabulous. They made our stay so enjoyable. The ship could use a little updating and public restrooms could be a little cleaner but overall we would definitely cruise on the NCL Sky again. It is one of the smaller ships in the NCL fleet (around 2000 people and 800 staff) and easy to get around. No lines at all. Free drinks brought out some funny moments to observe, even though we do not drink. People watching was a blast.

We were pretty disappointed in the % pay outs at the Casino. I was surprised to see how many machines were open as the Casino is not that big. Didn't take long to understand why. Heard quite a few complaints in that area.

Definitely will cruise NCL again.
