Our favourite part was our stay in Havana, the food on the ship, in the themed restaurants, was good, all other aspects were disappointing. The cabin was small with barely 4inches between corner of bed and cabinet, the handle of the cabinet protruded into that 4inches. We had a blocked bathroom sink for the first 24hrs.

The price shown by rocketed on booking, we normally book with Vacations to Go, their price would have been significantly less.

Our main 'gripe' would be that we had problems getting our visas, your representative said that  'we could get them on the ship' implying that you just turn up and buy them on day of departure, when we found out this was not true we sent an email to her - with no reply.  We contacted NCL in the UK, they were helpful but told us we would need to contact the US office for clarification, we made several US calls before we had peace of mind.

I believe if I had had ample information beforehand, I could have got my visas in the UK - for £15 - not the $75 dollars charged by NCL.

Tropicana show booked through the ship in Cuba is a must!  We felt very safe and welcome. Cuban people were warm and friendly. Hemingway house tour on our own was really fun.  We hired a vintage taxi & had so much fun!  We toured all around & ate a Cuban sandwich with the locals.  We can't wait to return to Cuba. NCL had everything very well organized & we loved it!!!

What a great time from start to finish!!!! First off our cruise agent Beth Castle helped us through the specifics of what needs to be completed which is a little different than your average Caribbean cruise. Make sure that the travel affidavit is completed. There were some unknowns because of how new it is to everyone including Norwegian Cruiseline. Both were extremely as helpful as anyone could be. As for the cruise itself....wonderful!! Norwegian freestyle allowed you to pretty much do whatever and whenever you wanted without being on a schedule. If you have any desire to go out to Havana go now before it becomes too commercialized. Everything is still in its pristine condition. A lot of construction going on with the anticipation of what it will become. The people of Havana were the nicest people and you could tell that they took a lot of pride in their history and are very much anticipating a new chapter for their country. My wife and I did 2 excursions "The Parisien Cabaret at the Hotel Nacional" and "Modern Havana in a American Classic". Both were very good but we really enjoyed Modern Havana in an old classic car. If you enjoy old classic cars and having a tour guide giving you a running history of all the sites as well as adding a bit of humor ..this is the s***! The Parisien offered a Vegas style show that had a magician, acrobats, a salsa drummer and last but not least a great show with multiple costume changes, dancin and great singing. As for Havana, you can roam around, take a classic car taxi, take a horse buggy or just do it the old fashioned way and walk through the town. Don't miss walking down Obispo St, very good people watching as well as shops for the wife!! When we went to Great Stirrup Cay we did the Wave Runner excursion.. another awesome time. Right after we finished we had a great lunch that was served and then just laid on the beach soaking up the sun relaxing and realizing just how great this was. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. 

a fantastic journey, cuba and the cubans were wonderful. the food, the music, the sites all great. shopping is limited compared to other ports, but prices were good.

will return to cuba and hope to see more of the island.

great stirrup cay was also wonderful. the ncl crew went out of their way to assure everyone had a great time.

have been on over a dozen cruises, this was the best.

the Norwegian sky is a great ship with an outstanding crew.

only suggestion is try to make the travel affidavits a less difficult process !

The city tour, which included a look at the fortress, a cigar factory, shops, and above all, the old cars (!) was very interesting! We even had free time the following day to explore on our own and to get to know the people of this impovershed country. My wife and I brought in some toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, etc. and the people were so grateful!

Well first of all I didn't get to go on my trip 

I missed my first year anniversary with my husband because of the staff stupidity I call and ask if I didn't my passport as I am a us citizen what other paper work I could take to travel they told me to bring my birth certificate and drivers license 

I did exactly that,but when I got to the port it was a different story I went thru hell. I spent my anniversary alone without my husband,they have no sympathy no heart 

And when my husband was coming back he spoke to the tsa officers they told him their not reason for them not to let me on the ship .I could've travel with the document I had

They don't even want to refund me my money

It was my first time on a cruise they ruined that experience for me

The city of Havana was most interesting.  The tour guides were knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed hosting us.  Visiting Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on our last day was the perfect balance to the cruise.  It was a beautiful beach and made better by the all inclusive frozen drinks and the barbeque. 

I really enjoyed cruising to Cuba and loved HAVANA, the amount of Havana I saw on the excursions I took anyway.  It was really hot and humid, which wiped me out, so I rested a lot; and, as soon as I'd showered and cooled down, I'd go back ashore and within just a few minutes, I was wet like a limp rag...it's the weather in Cuba.  It'd take more  than just a couple of days to adjust to the humidity for me.

This 4 day cruise was just the right length for an introduction to Cuba and it's peoples, who were very nice and friendly.  My next trip will have to be for a longer time, just to see more of Cuba and meet more of the people.

The quick and easy embarkment / disembarkment process was flawless. No lines, right on and right off! The excursions offered for Cuba were good choices. I know this is going to sound disappointing, but go for the hard top car. Cuba is so very hot, a convertible will make you miserable and you can't hear the tour guide. Trust me. About the Sky, she's an older ship but in adequate shape. The drinks were strong and the food was good cruise food. The private island's food was impressive picnic style. The staff was friendly. I wasn't sure what I would think of freestyle, but I enjoyed it. I would recommend this cruise. 

I like private island day. It was well organized. Cuba's shore excursions were not very interesting and too expensive. The ship is old. Shower cabin is too small

This was a great opportunity to be among the 1st people to get to Cuba. Anything else about the cruise was minor since we toured this destination.

Ship seemed dated, food was average (tho it was focused on Cuban dishes)

Free liquor was FABULOUS and #2 next to the destination.

Price was excellent.  Take this trip while you can. So interesting

Everything that Norwegian did was superbly organized and executed. The staff..always pleasant..always moving.. always making the traveling passengers very, very comfortable...we will do it again in a year or so..

Great cruise, very relaxing, just what we needed. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Great cruise for couples,celebrating a special occasion. 

I planned this long weekend for my sisters bachelorette party - and let me tell you, it was everything I hoped it would be. I went in a group of five and we had the most incredible time. From the all-inclusive food and drinks, to the entertainment on the ship, to the excursions during the day, the trip was PERFECT. I highly recommend it!

Half the deck was closed for the whole trip. Be prepared to find your own activities off of the boat unless you want to be constantly waiting in line.

The woman in the dining room checking in the guests was one of the rudest people I have ever met.  I went on this cruise with my boyfriend and my sister and her husband.  Both my boyfriend and I just conquered cancer and it was my sister's 32nd wedding anniversary so we all wanted to celebrate.  We asked the woman if we could sit next to a window to enjoy the view.  She placed us at the back of the dining room where the curtains were all taped together closed, so dark that you couldn't read your menu and we found out that the drapes were taped together because they were having a funeral, ash spreading on the other side.  We tried to change seats but she wouldn't move us.  We went on the blue lagoon excursion and when we got there there was low tide.  We stood in water up to our ankles.  It was hot and miserable.  We went to the shore excursion desk to complain because they should have known that it was low tide.  We got $15 discount but we should have not had to pay at all.  Very disappointed. 

I took room for 4, 3 adults and 1 kids. U never told me that 

the bads are bankbad  and im 52 years need to climb . Nothing for kids. 

No slides no serfs nothing. 

No brodwes shows. 

I prefer royal carribian better. 

I really enjoyed this cruise on the NCL Sky. From check-in at the pier, to going through customs at the end, it was mostly smooth sailing. We arrived at the pier around 11:20 (check-in time 11-11:30), dropped our bags with the porter and got in line. The check-in line was long, but constantly moving, and we really didn't wait long. We were on the ship within a half hour. Definitely one of my speedier check-in experiences. Rooms were ready about 1:30, and our bags were delivered soon after. I was shocked how quickly they got delivered. We had a mid-ship oceanview/porthole stateroom. It wasn't the biggest stateroom I've had, but plenty big for two adults, and it was very clean and comfortable. 

There was a really good mix of people on the cruise age-wise. There were not a lot of children onboard (end of April and wasn't spring break weeks anymore). The all-inclusive drinks are great. While people certainly indulged, I never once felt like anyone was out of hand or too sloppy.

I really liked the pool deck/area. I thought that it was more than sufficient for the size of the ship. We were always able to find loungers in the shade (plenty in the sun too). The pool was never too crowded, and I really liked the separate pool for "adults only."

Food throughout the cruise was good. Nothing earth-shattering, but perfectly acceptable. One minor complaint, is the service in the dining rooms was hit or miss. We went around the same time each night and alternated between the two main dining rooms each night. The first two nights, the service was great and very quick. The second two nights, service was extremely slow, but the dining rooms didn't feel that full and there were plenty of waiters, so we just don't know why. 

I thought the entertainment onboard was ok. The shows we went to were fine, and the comedy show was great. I thought it was kind of strange that the show each night only had one seating (9:30pm). Again, nothing spectacular, but I don't necessarily go on a cruise for the shows so I wasn't upset.

Our cruise stopped in Freeport, Nassau, and Great Stirrup Cay (NCL's island) in the Bahamas. Freeport and Nassau are just ok IMO; we got off each morning to do a little shopping but didn't do any excursions and enjoyed a less-crowded ship. Great Stirrup Cay was our favorite stop. It was a great beach day, the facilities on the island are great, and tendering over was easy.

Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would absolutely go on this ship again.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and had such a wonderful time!  The crew members gave exceptional service and we met some very nice people. I will travel on the Norwegian Sky in the future and will let others know of my remarkable experience with the cruiseline.

The cruise was excellent, the staff was very outgoing and serve well, The private island we did like very well, you can relax there eat , snorkeling and just enjoy the weather
