Other than the food being mediocre, and the cold water, the cruise was what we made of it and we had a great time on our honeymoon.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The process for getting on the ship in Miami was pretty straightforward and easy. We had our COVID test results on our phone, and phone service is limited in the terminal. My suggestion is to take a picture of your test results and have that ready to pull up.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We mostly ate at the buffet for breakfast and the ship's main dining room for lunch and dinner. The food is better at the main dining rooms but it is something that is mass produced and just okay.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were a lot of activities that we participated in. We tried for the Newlywed game. Participation was based on whether or not the audience liked you enough to put you in the game. We are a same sex couple and not too many were enthusiastic about us participating. Additionally, the questions in the newlywed game are geared towards heterosexual couples.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They were all good and engaging.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
There was one man at guest services that was lackadaisical, and unenthused. He only took care of my request part of the way and I had to come back later and have it completed by another person.

Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
The cabin was nice. The balcony was great and much used. However, there were three days where we did not have hot water, and had to call someone to come look at it. The first person told us we had to let it run. Ok, I only ran it for 20 minutes before calling someone to come look at it. Maybe if I had let it run 21 minutes, the water would have been hot. Each time, the situation was resolved but not after my spouse had taken a cold shower. I spoke with some other guests who had similar issues with the hot water.
Ship tip
The cruise is going to be what you make it to be. So if you want to have fun, there are plenty of things to do that will make your cruise super fun!
I think Freeport got hit hard by storms and is having a hard time recuperating from all the damage. We went to the Garden of the Groves. The tour guide was wonderful but there was not much of a garden. It could have not been the right time to see the garden in all its glory. Our driver was very informative sharing information about the history of the Bahamas. I enjoyed that a lot.
We went to Pearl Island, which is a private beach 20 minutes boat ride out of Nassau. It was wonderful. They served a lunch that was really, really good.
