It was a nice getaway and if I was able to find another 4 day cruise for that price i'd go in a minute on a NCL ship. We've been on approximately 30 cruise and cant really point to anything horrible that happened but there was also nothing great about NCL that would make me say "I have to go again". The only real concern I had was the Muster Experience. If we had to utilize what we learned at muster we would be in BIG TROUBLE, we wouldn't make it. Very little organization and crew members not enforcing muster rules; passengers talking to each other or on their phones, taking selfies, you could not hear any instructions coming over the speakers, crew members were looking at each other as they demonstrated how to put on life jackets instead of the passengers. it was awful.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
took just shy of two hours in line to have our picture taken and get our cabin key (we checked in online prior to boarding, very old fashion way to process passengers)
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Ate each night in the Crossings dining room; wide variety of choices, food was good, service was very good. Enjoyed breakfast at the outside buffet, food was good and area very clean
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Enjoyed the shows each night and bands poolside. Short visits to the casino, way too much smoking, smell very strong
Entertainment
3 out of 5
good bands through out the ship; comedian was funny; Enjoyed the stage shows, singers were good but didnt understand the Choreographing; dance moves in background didnt match the songs being sung found it very strange
Children's Programs
no children with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff very friendly and helpful. Waits were a little long but not from a lack of work by staff just feel that certain areas were understaffed
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Liked the layout, enjoy being able to walk all the way around a deck of a ship; easy access to all areas. VERY CLEAN and staff constantly wiping down and cleaning areas
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was very clean, steward was great, friendly and attentive. Cabin a little smaller then we are used to and very little storage. luckily we always bring extra hooks so that helped a lot and used our suitcases as drawers so it worked out fine
Ship tip
Utilize the bathrooms located right before the embarkment line before getting in line and have patience; bring heavy duty magnetic hooks to help with clothes storage in your cabin
Spent the day at the Atlantis Resort, slides and Rapid River were fun, beach was beautiful. Staff was friendly, service was good and food was much more reasonable then I thought it would be. Very easy to get a taxi back and forth.
They did a great job with tender, it was very organized and easy - very little wait (love the was you have to get a ticket with time to board, eliminates tons of people crowding stairways to board tenders.). The one beach area was a lot smaller than it looked in pictures, everything seemed crowded into one small area. Beach, bathrooms and food area were all very clean. They advertise an underwater "sculpture garden" and thats not really what that is, its man made reefs made from old Scaffolding and a cement turner and thats wonderful we need more reefs; they attract sea life and help to keep our oceans healthy but I was expecting something like they have in Cozumel, actual statues under the water.
easiest disembarkment ever; absolutely wonder, just walked right off no lines anywhere! our luggage was right there as we walked by and right out the door.
