Had a blast as a solo traveler. No solo premium for me on this trip. Great staff. Great people. Will cruise NCL again.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
At one point during the initial check in, they permitted guests to use the priority line. Meaning half of the line was allowed to skip.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food and bar service was great. A little extra gratuity goes a long way.
Cagney's Steakhouse
5 out of 5
Went to Cagneys 3 times - each time was awesome, and the prior waiters remembered me and stopped by my table to check on me even when I wasn’t in their section.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Trivia champ. They have a participation award. It’s all branded merchandise.
Jogging Track
4 out of 5
Enjoyed the track and the views it offered.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As mentioned earlier, a little bit of gratuity goes a long way.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Washy Washy makes you happy happy.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin is tight. But great staff (and $10 the first day to your room steward) ensures that your bed is made, towels fresh, and your habits learned.
Ship tip
Tip just a bit over the default and you get the best service when there are lines. Become a regular at the same bar.
Many of the bars open at 10. Stay on the boat till at least that time. If you are docked at the Navy Pier, plan 20 minutes each way of shuttle ride (ten of which they will tell you that cell phones and cameras are prohibited during). But somehow cameras and phones facing the base from the ship aren’t prohibited.
A lot of pushy taxi drivers will hit you from the end of the pier until your destination. If you never had the traditional spring break experience, hit Senior Frogs.
