Review summary

The good part was getting out of the ship everyday.. The ports are poor ports with people trying to make money . Nothing wrong with that. They probably keep giving alcohol to people , so they wouldn't notice other things

Sky was the first ship we sailed on. Loved the experience so much we booked another (Escape, March 2020) before we were off the ship. I was absolutley shocked but how nice and attentive the crew were. Only negative and not a big one was that we went during Spring break. I learned that Maine dresses a bit more modest. LOL

Been on the Sky in 2018 and everything was perfect! Ship has been refurbished recently and most reviews like it's new look and additions. NCL offers freestyle cruising, unless you go eat during prime dinner times beetwen 6pm and 7pm, there is barely no wait. The pub serves food, 2 MDR, buffet, etc. Never experienced a wait. Hope you enjoy your next cruise.😉

Please don't let this review deter you from booking the Sky. I just took my 50th birthday on this cruise ship and it was my 3rd time on her. I loved it all 3x! Food, stay and ship are perfect for a 3 or 4 night cruise. And the ship was refurbished and looks pretty much new now! Can't wait to book her again.

It sounds like your expectations may have been too high. I’m not sure how many cruises you have been on, but this was a short cruise aimed at first-time and budget conscious cruisers. It sounds like you expected a luxury cruise for a budget price. A longer cruise on a newer ship will usually be a better experience. Ultimately you get what you pay for.
