Review summary
We did a food tour in Nassau that was the major highlight--this was booked through another company and not the cruiseline. I would recommend the cruiseline offer such excursions as it was a great way to see and experience real local culture. We didn't get to go to Great Stirrup Cay due to bad weather, but our excursion (this time booked through NCL) to Blue Lagoon Island more than made up for it. We loved the protected shallow waters and dolphin encounters. Freeport was a bust because of a flopped tour (again booked through another company), so we would recommend either sticking with the cruiseline excursions or doing some thorough research on other options. Food (always a 3-course meal!), drinks (unlimited!), and entertainment (VIP Band and comic Vince Acevedo) on the ship were excellent. My husband and I got a balcony room and can't imagine anything else--being able to sit on our own "private deck" was relaxing. We much preferred hearing the ruckus on the upper decks from a distance and enjoying our mojitos in relative quiet. Would cruise with Norwegian again.

Ship tip
The main dining rooms (especially Palace) are more relaxing than the buffets. And complimentary wine is bottomless there--they keep topping up as long as you keep drinking. We only did the buffet once because we had to get breakfast in a hurry before heading out to an excursion. Good food, though.
