Review summary

What was my favorite part of the cruise?? Entering my house knowing I dont have to go back!!!

I have been cruising for the last 20 years, always on Royal Caribbean, but when I saw the special offer for NCL, I thought I would give a try. OMG, what a mistake!!

day 1. drinks watered, beer warm, dinner - 20minutes wait time for the soup, additional 45 minutes for the main course that never got there, cause we left the restaurant.

day 2. drinks are good. male employee leaving the restroom WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!!!! No food after 12.30 am. when I say no food, I mean you can not get any food, period. bars are closing at 1am . the only bar opened is the casino - thank you for smoking!

day 3. drinks watered. employees seem to be bothered when I order a drink. breakfast - cold , Walmart pancakes - are you serious??

At this point, I am actually losing weight. On a cruise!!!!! What???

day 4. drinks are a disaster, watered to the point of no alcohol. NOT joking! I am not a heavy drinker, but this was just a flavored water. Oh, Miami, you cant come soon enough.

Day 5. Disembarkation process - 1.50 minutes standing in a line. Single person gangway to get off the ship. Wow.

My review would have negative starts if it was possible.

Sorry that you had a terrible time. I have sailed NCL several times including on the Sky and have always had a great time.

Really you have been cruising for 20 years, your profile says one? We were on the Sky over Labor Day it was awesome!!! Drinks flowing, food awesome and crew very pleasant and accommodating NCL won't miss you business stick to Royal Caribbean.

Funny tntfl! (Laugh) When crew members like NCL make every effort to make your cruise awesome and memorable in every possible good way. In short, the crew become more like family than strangers. So yeah, I miss the pampering!

I have many more wonderful and endearing stories how NCL saved the day and I could not be more grateful. So far I have sailed with them three times this year and if I can wiggle another one in before our cruise in January I will!

On my first cruise with NCL Sky, I arrived at breakfast with a bad headache and requested a chocolate chip cookie, because they make my headaches disappear quickly. Since cookies are not served for breakfast in main dining room the wait staff sent someone to look for cookies somewhere on the ship and returned with a plate full of chocolate chip cookies. Needless to say, I love NCL Sky!

I cruised on the Sky last year for my first cruise and had a wonderful time. Its what you make of it and the time with your loved ones or friends!!! No they dont have a 24 hour place to eat but ALL through the day there was plenty. Take some fruit from the buffet at dinner and thats a late night snack. On the alcohol note our drinks were super strong but we did tip the bartender good everytime.

Meant to say, especially since it was your first cruise with them (NCL), and you heavily favor another cruise line. This is unfair to everyone else who has not had the opportunity to try NCL. What do you know about NCL except for reporting one bad experience!

Obviously you have an ax to grind! Overall, I can imagine what it was like to put up with your unpleasant behavior and attitude by your so called review. Even if I had such a time as you say you did in complete detail, I would never tell people to stay away. Especially, since your first cruise with them and you heavily favor another cruise line; which is unfair to everyone else.
