Review summary

Everyone on the ship was very helpful and the services were wonderful.  However, I was never notified that this was a Spring Break Party Cruise.  I went with my 10 yo daughter and it was a bit disconcerting.

Yes. I avoid all cruises from the beginning to end of March for that reason. Unless you pick a high priced cruise or go with Disney. The spring break kids go for the cheaper deals.

I'm on the boat now, and honestly would, have preffered the agent whom booked me to,have forwarned me about the college kids, this is more like,a booze cruise and I have 2 young kids that don't stand a chance in the pools,at all.. Lesson learned will,be doing carnival next time during, different time.

@Honestdruid....If you read at the top left under "Experience", it indicates the OP has been on 7+ cruises.

Who said 7+ cruises? I don't mind the spring breakers much

CrusinTim    8 years ago

So in 7+ cruises you never learned about Spring Break cruise time? I learned that after cruise 2! Spring Breakers (mostly College kids) sail on the 3 - 5 day cruises between March and beginning of April. It's not the agents job to advise you of Spring Break, just to book your cruise. How would they know if you were or were not interested in Spring Break cruises?

I learned from experience that Spring Breakers are prevalent during the month of March. I always plan last week in February or during the week of Thanksgiving. Works best for me.

No I'm not onboard but I've sailed a few times and that's a lesson I've learned. I try to cruise in October, late Feb and will be on a ship in the middle of April.

You have to be aware of timing, I usually cruise while kids are in school to limit how many are on board. Of course March and April are when the kids are on spring break!
