Review summary

It was OK for the money. Would be a good first cruise for someone. Food was OK, Buffet only, which closed at 11pm. Could not get a drink or food after 11 except for room service, which had a service charge after 12am. The 2 restaurants were UP charges. Rooms & ship were clean. Staff was friendly. But again for a quick somewhat cheap getaway it's a descent value.

Was Very Windy. Port is in an Industrial area, only a small Straw Market. If you want to see anything it's a 20 minute Taxi ride.

Nassau, Bahamas

Thanks for the review, I have been thinking about a short cruise on the sky. Last time I was onboard she was the The Pride of Aloha.

Yeah, I wonder too. I've never had a problem in Nassau, spent more time there than in the southernmost city in my own county. My buddy, after whom I named the "Jack Factor" (crew mentioning you by name) and his family refused to get off the ship in Nassau after the Cruise Director on Carnival Ecstasy scared the bejeezus out of everyone with a Public Address system announcement warning not to "flash money, jewelry.. " Great. There have been murders, rapes and robberies of tourists throughout the Caribbean ever since Columbus and Ponce de Leon started things off.

Did anyone on board have a problem with stolen purses in Nassau?

Hi kracer, The Norwegian Sky hosts two complimentary, full-service sit-down restaurants, Crossings and Palace. Both are normally open for dinner and at least 1 for breakfast and lunch each day. Were these restaurants not available during your cruise?
