We had a great first trip on Norwegian Sky. The ship was a good size for first-timers. The Teen Zone was great for our 13yr old but the activities in the Tween group for our 11yr old were not as good. Overall we had a great time. The islands were beautiful with much to see. The array of excursion options was incredible-something for everyone. The entire crew was very friendly and helpful.

Buffets were wonderful! We spent most meals eating from the buffet because of the variety for the kids. We did try out a few of the specialty restaurants on our own when the kids didn't want to eat with us or were at activities. The food was extraordinary!
Entertainment

Many entertainment options available. We are not "partiers" or "clubbers" so these options didn't really interest us. The shows that we did see (comedian, variety show, and broadway review) were great.
Children's Programs

As mentioned above the Teen Zone for 13 & up was great. Our 13yr old had a great time exploring the ship with different activities. The Kid Zone, in my opinion, has too large of an age range (2-12). Though the group is split into different ages there didn't seem to be many age appropriate activities for the Tweens (10-12yr olds) so our 11 yr old didn't have as many activities to do.

Perfect size for first time cruisers. All the public areas were very clean. Staterooms were made up nicely and the crew took great care to make us feel comfortable. They even turned down the beds at night and left creative towel animals on our beds. Some areas were showing their age - in as far as needing repairs, but overall things were pretty well-kept.
