Review summary

Recently cruised on the Norwegian Sky to the Bahamas. I think I was most impressed with how relaxing the entire trip was. When we arrived at the air port, Cruise staff met us at the baggage claim, took our bags and wisked us away to the port. We were welcomed to the beautiful ship by the entire crew. Our bags were deliverd to our room, and we were free to begin our vacation. That night we met our room attendant who made sure we had everything we needed and greeted us every day by name! The food was pretty good, would have liked to have more options for room service. Tons to do on board! Bingo is fun, art auctions are great, all in all there are tons of ways to win things! The islands are beautiful. Atlantis is a bit over-priced. We had a balcony stateroom, TOTALLY WORTH IT! The view of the moon and stars at night in the middle of the ocean is breath-taking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Buffets are pretty average, but a lot of choices. There is ALWAYS bugers and hot dogs! Make reservations for specialty restaurants! If you don't, there are status screens all over the ship that tell how long the wait is at each restaurant, and wehn a good time to go is...that was very helpful!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There is plenty to do on board. Not a lot to do in the afternoon, so it is always a good idea to go ashore even if you aren't doing an excursion. Plenty of shopping and sights to see.

Service and Staff

Very friendly, always smiling and available to assist you. Neil, our room-attendant was amazing. Checked on us every night, greeted us by name, and took care of everything.

Ship Quality

Ship was always clean, a little out-dated, but a beautiful ship indeed

Cabin / Stateroom

A little small, but good enough for two people. Loved the balcony view! Nothing to watch on TV...then again, why would you want to watch TV?!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Beautiful beaches. Atlantis was a blast but very pricy!

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
Beautiful Island! There are a few sall shops. ping pong tables, tons of food provided by the cruise, a live band, and an abundance of staff walking around asking if you need anything (bar service).
Don't Miss: See the sights and shop at the other ports, this is a perfect island to have a drink and take a nap on the beach. Chairs fill up quick, so get off the boat early!

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

We went to the market place to shop. Not a lot to see here...mostly jewlery places that were out of our budget. Great restaurants if you want traditional Bahamian food.

Pros: They thought of almost everything!

Cons: A little pricy

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!
