too many kids on a small ship

Sail Date: November 24, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The management of this ship was not equiped to handle 600 kids on a small ship. The children's programs were not sufficient. There were adult only bars and programs that parents brought there children. You couldn't eat peacefully in any of the restaurants because there were screaming kids everywhere.

Pros: ports

Cons: staff, programs

Recommends Norwegian Sky? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
too small, bedding improved, but mattresses not sufficient
Service and Staff
not one towel animal; never received an entire set of towels the entire cruise
not enough children's programs; Leo the guitarist was wonderful
Children's Programs
they must have been terrible, there were kids everywhere but in the programs, teens programs were insufficient and did not seperate based upon appropriate ages
Ship Quality
after being on the third largest ship in the world 11 months ago, this is a definate step back in time
Food and Dining
quantity, not quality

limited availability after hours
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Don't Miss: beach
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
come early or there is no chairs, food or drink
Don't Miss: snorkeling
Nassau, Bahamas
Jamacian's at the public beach can be pushy
