Review summary

We have been to these ports before, so this was more a relaxing and unbusy cruise. A little disappointed in the entertainment and venues where they had something going, but overall, a good trip. This ship was easy to get around and comfortable.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
-If you checked in online, it was super easy to go through embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet was always extremely crowded and finding a place to sit was near impossible. The food was always good wherever we ate. A couple of steaks were on the tough side in the specialty dining. Food at Indulge and The Local was always fast and good. Dining room service and food was excellent. Bar service was another matter. There didn't seem to be enough bartenders or wait staff. It took forever to get a drink, even cokes. The choice of spirits were good. We had the drink package and there was a lot of spirits to choose from when ordering. Wine options were very good. Overall, we ate well everywhere we went.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were the race cars and mini golf, but we did not participate. The dry slide was fun and fast. There are painting classes that cost $35 pp which a lot of people signed up for. There also are several other activities that cost money to participate in. There were a number of daily trivia games, which were fun and challenging where your team could win a prize. Several other activities like oragamy and napkin folding were available.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Donna Summer show was ok. Get your tickets when you get onboard. The Music Fest was ok. Nothing spectactular. Definitely see The Rumors show in Syd Normans. Get there early for seating or you will be standing throughout the show. The Price is Right game show was a lot of fun with authentic style games from the original show.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All the personnel onboard were friendly. The bar staff and waiters were totally understaffed. Dining room and specialty dining staff were excellent. Our room steward was great. Shop personnel were friendly but a little pushy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Light and bright. Big hallways. Semi-comfortable chairs in public areas. Locations of pools, dining areas, etc. were easy to get to and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Not a large room, but very comfortable. The patio door slide open which was nice not to hear doors slamming at all hours. The bathroom seemed larger and bright. The bed was comfortable. Pillows could have been better. There was plenty of storage areas, a safe, desk and large tv.

Ship tip

As soon as you board, go and make your dining and entertainment reservations as they will fill up fast.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

The bay water is usually a dirty brown. Nice shops and eating places are on the Strand.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Did not visit port

Winds and waves were too high. The captain decided it might be dangerous to try to dock

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Beautiful beach, plenty of loungers, zip lining, paddle boarding, wave runners and a gigantic swimming pool. Food and beverage service available. Cash or credit cards only for activities, food, and drinks.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

2 out of 5
Small crowded pier area with very few shops. If you walk downtown, there isn't much to see. The beaches that you take a cab/transport to are nice but crowded and a lot of vendors.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
This is a shopping mecca for everything but it's all the same. Beaches and parks are beautiful. Snorkeling is excellent. All sorts of island activities are available. We did a private jeep tour around the island with lots of stops. Fantastic.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy. We were in our car by 9 AM and on our way home. Baggage is grouped by color in baggage claim area. You proceed through customs with facial recognition and you are on your way.
