Review summary

This was a 7 day western caribean from Galveston. The cruise itself was great. Unfortunately the weather was cool and rainy all but 2 days , but we had a great time anyway!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had a check in time of 12-1230. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were on the ship by 12. We dropped off our bags , went through security, got our key cards , and walked on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the main dining room for dinners. We did Nama one night for Sushi and that was very good. The afternoon snacks in the observation lounge were a nice touch.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots going on all the time. The Super Bowl party was a much bigger deal than I had expected. They went all out with tailgate food , played the game in the theater and on the pool deck , handed out glow sticks, and just overall made it so much fun! We also loved Deal or no Deal , The not so Newlywed game , and The Price is Right.

Service and Staff

Our room steward Dinesh was fantastic and made sure that we had everything that we could possibly need.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I always love how clean the NCL ships are and the Prima is no exception. The design of the ship gives it a very intimate feel and most places are pretty quiet even when they are full. We have already booked for next year.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We booked a sailaway interior and ended up getting an accessible interior which gave us quite a lot of space. We were in a great location on deck 13 and couldn't be any more pleased.

Ship tip

Take a look at the layout and you will realize that this isn't a ship that is going to accommodate 4000 passengers on the pool deck at the same time. If you are looking for a lot of variety in activities and venues and don't mind planning a head a bit and having a bit of flexibility this is a great choice!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

This was our favorite! We did the Lucha Libre, tacos and tequila excursion booked through the cruise line. It was so much fun. It really exceeded my expectations!

Harvest Caye, Belize

We really enjoyed paddleboarding and hanging out on the beach.

Galveston, Texas

We drove in from outside of Houston on Friday morning and had reserved indoor cruise parking on 37th street. They loaded up our bags and took us to the port within a few minutes of arriving. Quick, easy, and friendly.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We spent the day at Bananarama. The weather wasn't great , but it was so beautiful and the staff were fantastic!

Disembarkation

Very easy and organized. We carried our luggage off. Disembarkation started right at 0730 and we walked off , onto our transportation and were in our car at the indoor parking garage by 0800.
