Terrible cruise, poor to bad weather, lack of 24 hr availability of a buffet, every activity had an additional charge, lack of available tickets for the entertainment venues, poor to no customer service when they lost my luggage.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Lost my luggage at embarkation, never found it for 7 days
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food was good but the restaurants were not open long enough the buffet for breakfast closed at 9:30am, and for lunch at 2:30, etc and wouldn’t stay open. Guests had to go to other restaurants with limited fare.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Go Cart rides were $16 each and all booked up by the time we embarked. The Donner Summer Show, the comedy shows, the Noise Boys all booked up early with no availability. Comedy shows were terrible with a lot of cuss words and terrible sexually explicit and tasteless jokes.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Stage shows were all sold out and consent shows were not done in good taste with a lot of cuss words and sexually explicit jokes.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our housekeeper was good but rest of staff was just ok. They didn’t go above your beyond. We were never updated about our lost luggage I had to go to the customer service desk about 15 times and each time laboriously explain that my luggage never was delivered. Usually took 30-45 min to wait in line and explain the situation. Very disappointing. Finally on day 3 of 7 day cruise I was given $200 shipboard credit.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Clean ship poor design the go cart area takes up prime ship space not worth it so the small main pool doesn’t always get sun.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Clean cabin although tight
Ship tip
Take all luggage on board with you do not check any at embarkation. Also take iPads or personal devices loaded with movies to watch as the onboard entertainment is not that great and usually sold out.
A little research prior to cruising goes a long way. Do not take a cruise around a holiday or when schools are out of session if you want a better experience.
The days of 24 hr buffet has long long passed … like 10 yrs ago . Had you researched your cruise BEFORE hand you would have known to book shows ASAP. You stated all shows were sold out yet terrible ….. little research goes a long long way .
What ship has a 24-hour buffet? You do realize they have to turn over and sanitize between meals? If the comedians were cussing, then you went to the adult show that was explicitly advertised as such. The go carts and shows, although sold out, usually provide walk-up availability. Went on this ship Thanksgiving week, and we had a spectacular time on an extremely full sailing.
