Did a mother daughter cruise and had a great time..

Just got off the ship this morning from a 4 day cruise out of Tampa. The only destination/port we we supposed to visit was Great Stirrup Cay. Unfortunately, the seas were too rough for tendering to that little slice of paradise in the Bahamas. We were rerouted to Freeport. This review will not deduct points because of Mother Nature. Boarding the Ship was easy. It was quite organized, and from the time we arrived until the time we boarded was less then a half hour. By Noon, we had Fruity, Frozen drinks in our hand. 5 stars. We did not eat at any “specialty “ restaurant, but utilized the main dining rooms and an occasional buffet. Overall, the food was good, and plentiful. Obviously, it seemed fresher and tastier in the Main Dinning Rooms. The Dining rooms were very spacious, beautifully decorated and the wait staff was amazing. 4 stars. The lines to get drinks at the various bars were never too long, and almost always, you were served within 10 minutes. They had waitstaff out on the pool decks, however, there was not enough of them, and almost always they were stopped by cruisers before they could make it beyond 50 feet from the bar. One MAJOR problem was this particular Cruise had a extremely large group ( numbering easily into the hundreds) of people from a popular TV show called “The Trailer Park Boys” ( I’ve never heard of it). Many of the popular bars were “reserved” for “Private” functions and access to them was denied during most of the Cruise. In fact, we never got to see a show or enjoy a drink at the beautiful Spinnaker lounge. Very Disappointed that we not not informed of any of this at booking time. I would have probably gave the bars a 4 star, but because of the limited access to many of them, I give it 2 stars. I’m not a smoker, but my wife is. The smoking sections were not defined very well, and until day 3, there was no place for a smoker to sit. Because of the poorly designated smoking sections, smokers easily wandered away from their designated areas. Furthermore, Vaping was everywhere, including the elevators. Obviously the Cruise-line cannot fix the ignorance and rudeness of the few certain people, but I’m not sure they even tried. One suggestion is to use stanchions to clearly mark the designated areas, and for Christ Sake, give the smoking people a place to sit. 2 stars The lay out of this ship was confusing. We’ve sailed on 7 other cruises, and this ship was by far the most confusing, layout wise. Hallways deadened, lack of signage all lead to the confusing aspect. She is a big ship, and was very clean and well kept. A suggestion is more ship deck maps on the walls. 3 stars. We stayed in an inside state room on Deck 11, with no complaints. Sure, they are a little small, and yes, the TV only gets a few stations ( most either news channels or NCL propaganda), but you basically only sleep in the rooms. 4 stars. The “night life” and “entertainment “ was awful. Of all our Cruises, this was the worst. No Vegas style shows, no comedy, and although the house band was fairly good, they spent far too much time running from bar to bar. The fact that Great Stirrup Cay was removed from our itinerary only worsened this problem. NCL needed to step up the fun and entertainment after this port was cancelled, but failed miserably. Perhaps their hands were tied. 1 star The Pools and hot tubs were exactly what we’ve experienced on every other Cruise... too crowded. Sometimes as many as 25 people crammed into the hot tubs with a limit of 10. All too often, there was no where to sit and especially no where to lie on a lounge chair as they all seemed to be used by Ghosts with blue and white stripped towels. This is a Cruise Wide problem, not limited to the Pearl. 3 stars. All in all, in-spite of some flaws, it was a good, fairly priced getaway. Just wish paradise ( Great Stirrup Cay) was open.

Our cruise itself was great.Disappointed- we were not able to visit Stirrup Cay due to weather were rerouted to Grand Bahama and not given options for shore excursions in our very limited time on island. Should have been offered future onboard credit for next cruise - offered nothing.

Could not wait to get off ship.. Went to Clearwater Beach when we got off and was so mad I wasted my money on that cruise.. Would of rather spent my week at the beach.. The boat is nothing more than a money scheme..Everything except a few games u paid extra money to play.. Bingo was a total rip off.. $49-69. For 3 games and payout was a joke.. Especially for what they made off those cards.. Shows were very limited..Could not find ways to keep occupied since the Trailer Park Boy fans on there and large number of spring breakers who took over the ship drinking and cursing and partying.. I had to find other ways to keep my 14 year old shaded from it.. Alot of things were off limits due to trailer park people.. The pool deck especially hot tubs were so crowded, same groups sat in them and on sides every day.. They should of had a time limit to allow other people in.. Drunks on elevator falling all over u.. The saying always goes a drunk can only deal with a drunk.. Was having dinner at indigo and had tables of roudy spring breakers yelling and laughing the whole time. Overall I was scared to let my daughter go on her own... When I booked this cruise. No one told me that it was a chartered boat or had a theme or I would of chose a different cruise from the get go.. Defintely was a waste of my vacation week..

wasn't impressed. boarding started late, but that wasn't their fault, came in a bit late due to fog, but we were on board by 1pm, it was a mess though since everyone was there at once. food was ok. didn't care for the main dining room having to put an x by the food we wanted, so it wasn't like they took our order. kind of weird for the dining room. o'sheenans (I think that's what it was) was awful, very disappointing, buffet was better. room was smaller than anything I had on carnival, but didn't care, just used it to sleep in very disappointed that they told us we were no longer able to occupy the deck chairs outside after 4pm, figure that one out,we were pissed. they never came around like they do on rcl or carnival asking if we wanted bar service, we always had to get it ourselves. great stirrup cay, wasn't anything great, half moon is much prettier.

Great time on the Pearl. Enjoyed the stops. Great that Norwegian now has an internet package that really works.

Good cruise with good ports, something to do for all. The ship is just the right size and easy to get around on. Love the eating area on the back of the ship off the Garden Cafe.

Was very pleased with this cruise. Itinerary was great, excursions, food, entertainment, and weather (other than a couple days of rolling seas). Looking forward to booking with Norwegian again.

This was a quick escape trip...going out of Tampa is much easier than Miami. the cruise was great...no problems!

This cruise was my first and I loved it! Ryan (Dr. Bombay), Danny and one more serviced our crew of 12 and did a fantastic job! We never waited on anything. The ship was clean, had great food, wasn't over crowed. Our room was very nice and kept clean everytime we left the room thanks Aerieal. And thank you Norwegian pearl crew members

Nice cruise. Loved the app to communicate with each other. Loved the USB port at night stand. Enjoyed the restaurants.

This cruise was great. I would do it again. If I was to put any negatives down there would be 2. 1st is the elevators are very slow and packed. We do not mind taking the stairs but sometimes we do not. 2nd is the beer. They are 12 ouncers and $8.34 per beer. The other ship I went on were 16 ounce at a lower price. And the bars were always packed and hard to get a beer. These 2 things would not deter me from this ship again. We loved it.

Our first time on these Islands. I would return again and do other excursions. People were friendly and we enjoyed our time spent there.

The best cruise yet, our older boys loved all the activities and food!

I will never cruise out of Tampa or cruise with Norwegian.

Far exceeded my expectations!! I've done Carnival, Royal, and now Norwegian!! So far I love Norwegian the best with Carnival not far behind! Next we want to try Princess and MSC!

My son and I had aBlast. We are already booked for next year.

they dont show fairness or equity to level of service to americans. i've sailed all the major lines but one and the service here was the worst of all. highly unlikely i will ever go on ncl. i paid double because of the sailing times (my bad) but even on the rats boat the treatment is outstanding so you learn to ease the price out. here, well the feeling and lack of adult entertainment (R) made this week slow.

This cruise was one of the best ones we have been on due to the Pearl being decorated for Christmas.
