Good first experience with NCL.Met some really good people both on and off the ship.Fix the “free” food and a little TLC and we will be back on Her anytime.Until then, we are dreaming of the food on Oceania Vista. And before anyone starts…we are not snobs.Just giving a honest opinion.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Yikes!Don’t know if it’s a Quebec City thing,an NCL thing or a combination of whatever but from checking our bags to crossing over the threshold took exactly 70 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The three specialty restaurants we took in, Cagney’s, Teppanyaki and La Cucina were all very good.Everything else and I mean Everything else was BAD.Cold and dry would pretty much cover it.Go ahead and throw in an occasional yuk.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Always something fun to do.From listening to music to watching or participating in games.Great way to meet people from around the world.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Fine.Nothing memorable except for the band Funky Roots.Everyone else tried hard.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All hard working for sure.Everyone but our room steward seemed happy with a great attitude. But if I had to clean countless rooms and never get off the ship, I wouldn’t be able to take it!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Clean but felt dated and worn.A few places you had to go up to go down and vice versa.Just when we thought we had it figured out…No wow factor to any part of the ship.Track that circled the ship was really nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Never had a cabin without a veranda before. This had a porthole which made me feel like a kid.Room forces you to get out and explore.
We slept great!
Ship tip
For a great price you get plenty of fun but poor food.Nothing glamorous about it.
Love Boston.Spent two extra days.If you are new to Boston, like us,must take the hop on hop off bus and eat Italian on the North End.Make up for all the bad ship meals!
We had a wonderful day discovering Acadia, national Park. The weather that afternoon really cooperated.Abel to see all the beauty of the park.We began and ended the day with absolutely delicious blueberry pie.
