Review summary

We love Bermuda it’s beautiful and clean and we had a great time but the noise above our cabin every night between 3AM and 5:30AM was terrible and I called customer service every night! It was yhe staff cleaning the casino and obviously they didn’t do anything to fix it because it happened every night. Offering to change our cabin was not an acceptable solution! Totally unacceptable!

Our cabin was lovely we booked it because it was located close to everything including the elevator. Unfortunately we were directly below the casino and every night we were awakened by loud banging above us. I reported it every time to guest services thinking it would stop. The Head of Housekeeping was very kind and offered for us to change our cabin on the fourth day but we were settled in and really didn’t feel like we should have to move our things to another cabin! The banging above us should not have been happening in the first place and shohave been stopped! It went on every night of the cruise and I’m sorry to say it put damper on our cruise experience! I’m sure other cabins on Deck 5 must have been affected as well! I would never book a cabin below the casino again and I believe that nothing was done by the staff of the Norwegian Pearl to stop it from happening! No regard for customer satisfaction! Offering to move us to another cabin is not a solution to the problem! Shame on you Norwegian!

Ship tip

Don’t stay on Deck 5 just below the casino! Very noisy every night between 3AM and 5:30 AM and the staff does nothing to stop it!

Very accommodating when arriving for your cruise but not accommodating when you’re disembarking. Just want you out of there ASAP with all your baggage even though you parked 5 blocks away!

I agree with KDlady, do your research. All repeat cruisers know that cabin location is EVERYTHING.

Appreciate your feedback. It appears that you chose your cabin, lesson learned. We made a similar mistake years ago and booked under the shops. Always try to have cabins above and below. It doesn’t guarantee that your “neighbors” won’t be noisy, but will save you scheduled cleaning noise.

As kd said, always look at the deck plans for the ship you are cruising g on and select a cabin that is away from those venues where late evening noises are less likely to spoil your cruise.

Considering you were the one who chose your cabin in that location, I think they were very generous in offering you a move to a different cabin! Glad you enjoyed the rest of your cruise though!

If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noises by all means be mindful of where you book. As you found out, they are not going to change their schedule.

It's so important to pick a cabin with cabins above and below yours! People don't realize how loud it gets when you're above or below any venue - pool deck, casino, night club, restaurant -I avoid all that by making sure to book a room between cabin decks!
