Review summary

Just know that guest services does not care if you get what you were told you would get. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON PRIORITY, IT IS WORTHLESS!!

Embarkation

Paid for priority and had to wait for over an hour to get on the boat. We got on just like everyone else. Priority is worthless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was good and the service was awesome. It is hard to make a reservation at the specialty restaurant. On the second day, we made our reservation and only the French and Italian restaurant were available.

Entertainment

Oh my goodness!! Ice Bucket is the band we saw twice and they were amazing!! The guitar player was like WOW! They did "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and I was blown away. GO SEE THEM, especially if you are a classic rock fan. The tribute to Tina, Madonna and Michael was really good too. The Newlywed game was hilarious! We had so much fun.

Service and Staff

All the waiters, bar tenders and stewards were wonderful. The customer service and spa were terrible. We were supposed to receive a six pack of water with our drink package. They changed their policy and admitted we were told we would get it, but they refused to give it to us. I paid for priority which included a $50 spa credit. When we were in port, the spa runs a $50 off special. I asked if I could use my credit in addition to and was told if I were to chose one of their specialty services (the more expensive services) that I could. I came back the next day and was told the same thing, so I got a "fire and ice mani/pedi". The lady that did my nails was fabulous. She even verified I could use my credit in addition to the $50 off special before she touched me. The mani/pedi was great. Once I got the bill, the $50 credit was not on there. I went to guest services, they told me to go to the spa. Once I got to the spa, they told me they never said that or that I was misinformed. I went back to guest services and they would not help me. So, the $50 credit can only be used in port, the spa offers a $50 discount every day that you are in port. You can not use both, so the priority access is absolutely WORTHLESS. We witnessed people all over the boat complaining that they did not get what they were told they would get. This is my first cruise with Norwegian and I don't know that I will ever use them again.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was clean. The only problem we saw was that the basketball court is directly over the nice Italian restaurant that you pay extra for. It was very noisy and not a pleasant experience. The food and service was amazing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was my first inside cabin. I have only been on a couple cruises, but have had balconies. I was worried I would not like the cabin, but it was really nice and roomy.

Ship tip

Don't waste your time going to guest services about anything. They do not care.

Interesting. I never sailed Norwegian, but Carnival’s FTTF always gave us a priority. Can’t say anything about the Spa, they are not part of Norwegian, but are independent contractors and make their own rules. Not sure what she was promised by the phone booking agent or what her paperwork said but one wonders if there was a disconnect (have to look at paperwork very carefully, the phone booking agents sometimes promise stuff that never gets written down).
