Review summary

This was my husband's first cruise and we had a wonderful time! The staff was great and always willing to help. We did two shore excursions in Bermuda and loved them both. We had great food and drinks all week long and can't wait to return.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation experience was seamless. We checked in online through NCL and downloaded our eDocs and had to show those along with our Passports at the terminal. From there, we had a quick security screening and then checked in and received our Freestyle cards. It was quick and easy due to NCL requesting you select an embarkation timeframe during your check-in process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The two main dining rooms (Summer Palace and Indigo) offered the same menus with some specialty items each day. We had quick service and enjoyed the food at both multiple times. We also ate at Lotus Garden one night and it was great (also complimentary). We had two specialty dining nights - one at Moderno and one at Teppanyaki and LOVED both! We also favored The Great Outdoors bar and Maltings (deck 6). Burton was the best bartender!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We utilized the outdoor jogging track and the deck chairs on the sun deck frequently. We also visited the spa multiple times and loved each visit!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There was great piano music each evening on deck 6. We also enjoyed the musicians during the sail away parties on the pool deck. We attended one show with a comedian and highly enjoyed her as well!

Children's Programs

We do not have children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone the ship was incredibly friendly and made an effort to get to know us!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Norwegian Pearl is a smaller ship compared to some others and was very easy to navigate. We found that there were plenty of activities to keep us occupied and it was incredibly clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of our cabin was actually bigger than I initially anticipated. I found that bathroom was also larger than expected. We had plenty of space for our belongings traveling as a couple. The balcony is a huge bonus and I would highly recommend sailing this itinerary because you have beautiful and relaxing views of Boston, Bermuda and Maine.

Ship tip

With Freestyle dining, I would book specialty restaurants in advance as those tended to fill up the quickest!
