Bermuda was crowded and difficult to navigate. Bar Harbor was nice, but we couldn’t plan anything do to lack of dock information prior to trip and useless internet on the trip. NCL was horrible with all info in general. Not enough space for specifics here

Review summary

I would not cruise with NCL again. Too many issues and lack of accurate information.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
OK, but confusing. We would have been left at the dock if we waited for NCL to tell us the destination travel requirements.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was mostly good, sent back 3 meals. You can’t make reservations for the standard dining rooms so you have to wander around the ship looking for a place to eat. Only specialty restaurants (extra fee) allow reservations. The buffet was good, but it’s a cattle call. Narrow walkways trying not to get your food knocked out of your hands while you search for a seat.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Hot tubs weren’t hot and were often not working.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
No entertainment info on the app before or during the cruise. We had to read a pamphlet left at our room each night to find out what was going on for 1 day at a time. It was very difficult to plan.

Children's Programs

No chokdren

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters and room stewards were wonderful.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was very clean. It was just difficult to navigate. The interactive screens were sparse and the one near our stateroom was broken the entire cruise. There are floors you can not access the entire floor without going up a floor and back down a floor. The signage for the main dining room was horrible. It took us 30 minutes to find.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was clean and well serviced by the steward. It was a small interior room and it worked better with the beds separated leaving a larger space in the middle. The only issue was the a/c didn’t get very cool until the middle of the night. Next time I would bring a fan.

Ship tip

The tenders in Bar Harbor land in downtown.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Bar Harbor, Maine

This is the first U S port so you have to go thru customs before you can tender to sure. People with shore excursions got to tender first. This made disembarking in Boston much easier without customs.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Other then the mid-information from what was written to what they actually did, it was fine.
