Review summary

I highly recommend this cruise. We especially liked that you could go to multiple restaurants at any times without reservations and it was more casual than previous cruises we've taken. The service was beyond expectations and the food and drinks were amazing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food in both the main dining rooms, the buffets, and the specialty restaurants were excellent! We especially liked the Martini Bar on Deck 6.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Finding a seat near a pool was very difficult, but fortunately, there was a deck above where we usually got lucky. Also, the fitness center was pretty good but we couldn't get near it early in the morning when we generally liked to work out. We did not use the bowling alleys or the climbing wall, but both looked great.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
All of the musicians and performers were excellent. I especially liked the magician, who was straight from Las Vegas. I was a little disappointed that there were no shows (e.g., Broadway shows) on board, which we had on previous Royal Caribbean cruises.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff could not have been better.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Extremely clean and very conscious of the potential to spread germs. Lots of hand sanitizer everywhere!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cleanliness and service in the cabin was outstanding. My only complaint was that the cabin and bathroom were exceptionally small.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
This is where our tour began and where we live.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The Royal Naval Dockyard was very nice and we were able to book activities on our own straight from the Dockyard. We rented an electric car on one day, took the ferry to Hamilton and rode the bus to the beaches and back on another day, and took the ferry to St. George's on the last day.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised at this stop. The town of Bar Harbor is excellent and we booked our own tour of Acadia National Park once we disembarked. All were great.
