Review summary

Out of all of the cruises I have taken this one was "so-so". Nothing spectacular although it's always nice to get away and sale to Bermuda. Again, the overall dining experience was the highlight of this cruise. Message to NCL; "Please bring back the 14-day Boston to Southern Caribbean round trip cruise".

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
This was by far the best overall part of this cruise. The quality of the Main Dining food and also the specialty restaurants was excellent. The service was outstanding. The Main Dining will surprise most customers. La Cucinna and Le Bistro restaurants get 5 stars from me (I'm an experienced cruiser with 30+ cruises in the past 25 years).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center OK

Entertainment

3 out of 5
And now for the "not so good". NCL has definitely made significant cutbacks. Most notably is the entertainment and shows. It was not so much the quality of the shows as it was the lack of variety. The last show has historically had a finale with a big bang. This cruise had the cruise director telling some lame jokes. Legends and the comedian Harry O' were both excellent as were the acrobatic couple. I would like to see some blues bands (who doesn't like that?).

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Exceptional as always!!

Ship Quality

Cleanliness has improved substantially due to Covid. Keep it that way.

Cabin / Stateroom

Good

Ship tip

Understand what it means when NCL promotes its ultimate drink package. It does NOT include premium wines or liquors nor does it cover the rediculous service charges/tips.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Bar Harbor, Maine

Rain, cloudy, cold. However, when the sky is blue and the temp is 70 F or greater it's a great place.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Gangway malfunctions made this lengthy and also a challenge especially for individuals with physical challenges. This is MassPort's fault, not NCLs.

Did you have to do your own Covid test at home prior to boarding ?
